I honestly want like....10 shows.

 

Yeah I'd love to see them live- never got the chance!

 

They’re great live! I saw them shortly after Phantoms came out, and then once more shortly before CBD came out. They sounded incredible both times. They were all clearly having such a blast when I saw them the second time. It was really great to see

 

Did we ever find out what they were doing in the studio last year or like in 2018? Early demoing sessions for the new album I suppose?

 

The songs are always so much more ROCK live.

 

We never find out anything :(

 

Really hoping we get a new album.

Honestly I still jam Phantoms + demos and Colliding By Design all the time.

 

I actually wouldn't mind hearing a few tracks that are less polished and that they continue down the more experimental side

Damn Anberlin AND Acceptance? What a show. Wish I lived on the west coast.

 

Irvine is in Orange County, its about 90 min south of LA.

 

So I was re-listening to Phantoms for the first time in a while... I was struck by how similar the melody AND lyrics of one line in "Over You" sounded to something I'd heard before. The line is: "Make this now or never", which repeats a few times in the song. It wasn't the first time I'd thought that, so I did some digging...

Turns out Jonny Craig blatantly ripped off that line on "Set It Off Like Napalm" from Emarosa's album Relativity. Literally the same lyrics AND virtually identical melody (just in a different pitch). I'd give him the benefit of the doubt (lol) except Relativity came out only 3 years after Phantoms, and it sounds almost exactly the same. Not a huge deal, just thought it was funny.
