I think that Pete is kinda where Bernie was in 2016 - hes got money and has invested all of it in the first two states. Bernie can end him by blowing out NH. But if Pete beats him there or keeps it close, he’s going to get a lot of buzz. Then he will get rolled in SC and the Super Tuesday states, but he might he in a position to play spoiler and create the brokered convention scenario, with Bloomberg’s help coming later.

i am really getting worried that people are taking this moment for granted. Iowa clearly helped Pete (maybe not relative to how much it usually helps someone, but still) and I’m concerned that I’m not hearing as much about the groundwork from Bernie’s camp in NH as we were last week before the caucus. The good news is that Bernie has the support and the unending supply of donors to withstand a stumble or two, but i don’t want the momentum to let up.

That's a really good way of thinking about it. One thing to clarify though - Bernie/his people are not responsible for Iowa keeping the caucus format. State legislatures handle that responsibility. The 'DNC Unity Reform Commission' was only able to push for more oversight. Once shit hit the fan, Neera Tanden (and that wing of the party) immediately started to blame Bernie for keeping the caucus format and it spread from there. I would argue that Bernie did us all a favor by pushing for more oversight, because caucuses will prob be dead after this.

Also would like to add that the IDP may have been inept, but I think the DNC shoulders most of the blame, and Perez shouldn't have his job.

  8. Oh god just don’t. Let me stop thinking about Iowa.

Lets see what Pete can do in a non super white state before we write it off as Pete vs Bernie

Pete will never get the minority vote and won't do well after NH. If anything Bloomberg is probably Sanders' biggest foe. He's blanketing all of the Super Tuesday states with ads (already spent over $300 million in total). He's also buying off tons of mayors, state officials, you name it for endorsements. Pretty depressing really

The DNC is never going to let Bernie be President, no matter what they have to do. The US is a plutocracy run by the rich, and Bernie is far worse for them than Trump could ever be.

Stocks saying Bernie Sanders doesn't stand a chance in 2020

    Listen to these fucks:

There it is. The monsters jumping from Biden to Buttigieg don't give a fucking shit who the candidate is as long as that candidate's policies allow them to continue ignoring the existence of every human being born underneath them. A vote for anyone other than Sanders or Warren is another thousand fucking lives destroyed to ensure these garbage people get the edge in their fucking constant, meaningless, number-driven pissing contests.

I've supported Bernie and only Bernie this whole time but it wasn't until Iowa that I actually realized that someone besides Biden can possibly be the nominee, I've honestly just been assuming he would end up with it no matter what. So I'm leaving it with more positive feelings than I was going in

  18. I'm sorry but it's pretty clearly a rigging when the state party calls it with known errors and shows no interest in correcting them even though they could easily effect the outcome, which then allows the news networks to do shit like this? a literal rigging no two ways

it’s embarrassing. i’m of the mindset it won’t matter that much though. they’ll have to quickly flip around when bernie wins NH, places well in SC, and wins CA. they’ll have no choice other than to get behind him. it definitely is a bad look, but i think it’ll play itself out

  20. I don’t currently feel confident about NH

  23. I just can’t put all my faith in polls. I really do think Bernie has a great shot at winning NH but if he only beats Pete by 1-2 points that will scare me

  24. Pete personally is doomed anyway but him doing well keeps it more open for bloomberg or for Bernie to be ratfucked at the convention
