Damn this snuck up quick! I'm not gonna lie I wasn't crazy about last season, maybe I just need to watch again. No Funkman really reaaallllyyy bums me out hard too. Still excited to watch.

 

Last season was so good though- def rec watching again! I’m also really sad about Funkhouser... he will be sorely missed.

 

Was Funkhouser's last scene that apology scene? I don't remember, but that would be a fantastic send-off for him because it's one of his best scenes ever

There was a LOT in this episode. I always wanted Larry and Cheryl to get back together but now that they're doing this storyline so early I'm not so sure it's going to happen. It also seems like Larry getting MeTooed might be the running arc of the season? I kind of hope not, but at the same time it works with his character lol. That on top of the Mocha Joe story and the MAGA hat story made this episode feel really stuffed, but I still laughed the whole time


I also thought Larry was like way more aggressive than usual. When he wiped his glasses on the girl's shirt I had the thought that earlier in the series someone would have been more likely to do that to Larry thinking it wouldn't be a big deal but he would get pissed, not the other way around

Jesus, I missed this show. They really packed a lot into the first episode but it was hysterical.

This was so good hahaha. The statute of limitations on happy new year was so perfectly timed.

 

A very, very stuffed episode but the MAGA hat/accidental sexual assault was bonkers. Jeff being treated like Weinstein is such a hilarious, inspired, and timely joke.

 

Good episode, a bit overstuffed though and the ending felt abrupt. I admittedly never love the season openers from this show, though. That said, the big goodbye and Mocha Joe stuff was hilarious, and enjoying the Cheryl and Larry banter, so I’m pumped for the rest of the season

 

watched the ep a second time last night and still cracked up the entire time. so happy this show is still going

 

i liked it a lot more on my second viewing

 

Incredible opening episode. I would give it a hundred thumbs up. LD IS BACK

 

Jeff/Weinstein was inspired. MAGA hat bit also was A+
