That beat in the 2nd verse totally caught me off guard and I loved every second of that.

I’m going to love this album! I mean I was probably going to love it regardless cause it’s Brian, but damn I’m loving the vibe of these first two.

it’s kind of cool because I could imagine how the more upbeat Ted Hutt version would have sounded too.

It’ll be cool to hear how this Katis production will be over the course of a record, but I think for what Brian was going for with Local Honey it’s kind of what I wanted/expected. 2/2.

Also wanted to point out that again, Brian solo isn’t really solo. Ian Perkins, Chris Farren, and whoever else is still part of The Howling Weather, sound great and Kori from Mates of State appears on 21 Days.

Do or do not, there is no try.

Still managing to hold out for the full album. It’s getting tough, haha!

I feel like this is an album that been brewing since Sink or Swin (which has Navesink Banks and Red at Night). Around ‘59 Sound and American Slang Brian had Tin Pan Alley, The Blues Mary and few other tracks come out, plus a cover. This Local Honey sound has been around for a while a appeared in portions of The Horrible Crowes Elsie and Gaslight Hold You Up 10”. He dipped his toes in with Molly stuff and and I think these 8 songs will be the first time he’s just committed to do a full album like this.

I've always loved this type of stuff from Brian Fallon. I had a little playlist with "Hold You Up", "Misery" & "Teenage Rebellion" that I listen to as much as any of my other Gaslight albums.

Those 3 tracks were played so fucking much when I was in college. I was having a fallout in a relationship around that time, and those tracks hit everything I was feeling on the nose. Haven’t visited them in a while but maybe will tonight!

It’s definitely all so good. I’m still surprised big Gaslight/Brian fans don’t talk about those tracks more. I’ve always been curious about how those songs, and others like Break Your Heart, Have Mercy, Underneath the Ground and a few other different/less talked about tracks came together.

Also, I thought we’d hear that piano version of Underneath the Ground from the Handwritten recording promo/interview feature.

Still holding out for a Brian Fallon/Chuck Ragan collaboration that was once in the works years ago. With Ted Hutt the two could make magic.

21 Days is where I can really hear Peter Katis’s influence. Damn. What a song.

21 Days is in the top 5 for his solo songs for me. Such a jam. A lot harder than I expected it to be especially after I read the album description.

Listened to the new track but still haven't heard the closer. It's really good. Looking forward to what the rest of this album brings.

This track is not what I was expecting after the first single, but I love it. Get Hurt vibes for sure.

Great call on Have Mercy vibes. It's just got a bit more UMPFHHHH. Such cinematic vibes. Maybe one of Brian's most pop sounding songs too?

Crazy to think by releasing two songs 25% of the album had already been released. At least with Brian I am entirely confident I will enjoy the remaining 75%, or six other songs just as much.
