Reading about the way Illinois handled launching legal recreational makes me realize Illinois fucked up.

There are huge delays for employees to be licensed by the state to sell. So there are staffing shortages at tons of dispensaries, and because the process is taking so long they are losing candidates to other jobs.

on top of that, there are delays to open new grow operations and new shops, which has caused the shortage. Medical dispensaries were given priority to open rec shops. Pretty much all the licenses given to people of color (which was supposed to be prioritized) have been delayed. Those large, already established companies like Cresco are now able to dominate the market.

 

I was searching for a new connect a while back and got from this one chick a handful of times and told her that I'd buy like an ounce every week or so if it was good quality/price and she was like "oh yeah, for sure, I'm totally down for that" and then completely ghosted for like months. Then I get a text today, "long time, no talk, but if you're still looking, I got it for you" and I immediately texted back "okay, when can you meet" and no answer...

 

All dealers have that same gene, probably the same gene that gets them to deal.

 

Every time my guy doesn’t text me back for two weeks I think he’s out of the game for good and then he texts me two weeks later, then three weeks after that I’ll get a bag.

so I’ve learned to buy in bulk, and basically ask him for my next bag as soon as I get a new one. Lol

 

this is almost a carbon copy of what’s slowly stacking up in Missouri for their medical. Infuriating and I’m losing a lot of sleep over it

At least they denied cresco like 12 licenses already though so that’s nice haha

Man, I just wish a had a sound contact. I see online people always say how they're mates with their guy. I hate having to buy off a shady guy in a car park in the rough part of town. Almost makes me not wanna smoke.

At Uni we had a guy that was constantly riding around town on a motorised scooter. You'd text, and within 20 minutes he'd be at your door. Never took his helmet off, no idea of his name, but he was consistent and didn't make me think I was going to get stabbed.

Well I was desperate and just bought a half o off of a local on that site...probably one of the more stupid things I’ve done but I’m alive.

Supposedly it’s Apple Fritter which is 30% THC, I don’t really buy it but I’ll report back shortly.

Depends on the size of the dispensary. Having retail experience will be v helpful. You'll need to learn about strains and effects and all that crap. Which honestly if you smoke weed you can figure it out lolol

Fuck it I’m just going to be an annoying customer to my dealer. He pulls the fake strain name and embellished quality last time so now I’m just going to make him send me pics of everything before I go over to his place and I’m not going to be afraid to say no if it’s dog shit again.

Kinda feel bad because he went out of his way a bit to help but I was very clear with my intentions and gave him the opportunity to back out at any time.

I’m dying for it to be legalized here, man. This sucks!

 

Yup I've had to become the same way. I was getting from the same guy for like a decade and suddenly the quality went down, prices went up. I told him, look, I want medical grade flower and if you can't get it for me, I'll find it somewhere else. If you need to charge me more, fine, just be up front about it. Let me know what you have and how much you want for it and I'll decide if I want to buy it or not. Don't short me on the bag, don't lie about the quality, just tell me what you want for what you have and it's either a deal or it's not.

Anyone ever had any of the Bare Farms "exotic" flower?

I've been getting from a new connect and he just sent me a picture with 6 different strains in labeled "4 gram Eighth" bottles that say "Bare Farms"

He says these are "exotics" and are like A+ quality, but they're nearly twice as much as the bud I normally get (which is already pretty good quality)

I can't justify paying $70 for 4 grams very often, but I'm pretty curious to try it since most of the reviews I've read said it's a true one hitter quitter...

What do ya'll think?

Don’t know anything about them unfortunately but in my experience putting a lot into the bottle design tends to mean an inflated price regardless of quality.

might be cool to have a jar as a souvenir but I don’t know what to expect quality wise unfortunately
