Sure, they don't run a power scheme but personnel and style is very similar.

Not exactly the same but a lot of similarities

Biggest difference is this team is more of a finesse team actually, especially on offense. A lot more zone concepts are being employed on both sides of the ball to take adv of players’ athleticism.

Niners then were all power schemes and 3-4 man to man coverage back then.

I agree. It’s a more dynamic offense. The 2012 team moved the ball well between the 20s but settled for field goals.

Idk though they definitely don’t have a Frank Gore, or a Patrick Willis

Also kind of hilarious to think about how back then Sherman was dogging their best receiver and now they have Sherman and don’t even have a wide receiver as good as Crabtree was lol

Niners offensive line was definitely better back then too. Anthony Davis, Mike Iupati and Joe Staley in their primes. Really Kittle is the kicker that even makes the 49ers run blocking so consistent now with a younger and less elite core line.

Tbh the 2012 Niners were completely a more stacked team, this 2019 team is just better coached / better equipped to adjust their gameplan.

Niners have a stacked DL, all those picks finally paid off

Buckner, Armstead, Bosa with Ford in the mix, phew... top unit in the league

    Fred Warner has also emerged

I mean, lol. Hes GOOD. He's an NFL QB that isnt a liability. But he's basically just a game manager.

so game manager = not good?
like a team with a QB that's not asked to do everything automatically means that QB isn't good?
