Yeah I feel like this is a special one off. Not super interested in more. I'm sure whatever Rian does next will be great though.

 

I'm 100% down for more Benoit Blanc adventures. Feel like there is plenty of room to keep it fresh while still allowing RJ to cash in on a killer character concept.

 

Would 1000x have him do more Blanc movies than more Star Wars

 

i'm not done with rj-helmed star wars movies

 

we should all be done with all stars wars movies

 

Yeah I honestly don't think I want another one either, it won't be the same with the cast being totally different besides Craig

 

if this were just a one off, sure, perfect, I would be totally satisfied with that. will I sign up immediately for more Blanc adventures? you betcha, and put Adam Driver in the movie

Put a pin in everything Star Wars, gimme some more original mysteries. The world doesn’t need another Columbo or Jessica Fletcher — what we need, is Benoit.

 

Loved this. Those last couple moments + Sweet Virginia were perfect

although if I could get a reboot series of Columbo starring Mark Ruffalo, I'd be on board haha. but yes, yes yes, most Benoit Blanc!

 

What a fantastically clever and fun film. I love how they keep deconstructing and layering on who-dun-its instead of spending two hours on the original mystery that I thought the whole film was supposed to be about. That kind of rabbit-hole storytelling (I always think of Cabin in the Woods as a good example) is my favorite. Does anyone have any other recs for movies like that?
