But more than anything, I'm just happy that I was able to go with my friends and sing along to a bunch of my favorite songs ever again.

  2. I know it's not exacly the same situation, but the conversation kind of reminds me of Thursday's comeback and how heavy on their earlier and most popular material their recent setlists have been

I could do with "True Romance" but other than that I'm totally okay with this.

    point of extinction
    true romance

    didn’t get
    perfect teeth
together we’ll ring in the new year

Besides losing a couple songs, I'm really glad to see a couple of those added to the rotation. Plus we get a couple shows in MN so we'll get most if not all of them.

Show was fun. The band sounded awesome for being only the second show. Crowd seemed lethargic for the most part, but got going a few times. If I had any small complaints in the set it would be that I would have wanted a few more songs in the set. Preferably a few more IATM cuts. I get most people want CTTM and then some hits from other records, so the set makes a lot of sense in that regard. Really just glad to see this band live again.

"I'm not sure the band is in a great place." - talking about a band that "broke up"/"went on hiatus" and has decided to do a reunion tour and promised nothing else beyond that at this point.

Let them do what they want/are comfortable doing. They've missed playing together, the fans have missed them and they're just having fun. They all looked like they were having so much fun together on stage again and that's great. Tony has had a shitty time lately and been pretty candid about it. I'm glad he's just doing something that makes him happy.

I don't hate Go or Panic Stations. I think I Can Feel You is one of the best songs they've written, but I am totally okay and completely understand not playing those albums for a tour like this.

Side note: super jealous of the people who got Worker Bee and those who got Capital H.

They've only just got back together. If they want to just play their biggest songs for a while to get back into it, I'm okay with that. Might help them rediscover a love that clearly faded towards the end.

To be honest I wouldn't mind a few of the songs from Go being in there, especially Floating Down The River, but there is absolutely nothing from Panic Stations other than Days Will Run Away that I would place in a set of theirs. Ever. That album was really bad and they were my favourite band at the time.

In terms of new music, let them do it in their own time if they choose. They've been back for 7 days and y'all are already panicking. Just relax and let them forge their own path and stop debating the future of a band based on like four setlists.

Weezer legit played Wembley here on their Black Album tour and didn't play a single song from it, which is amazing and weird and very Weezer.

Yeah, ditto. It was a really weird omission. Panic Stations is easily their weakest album, but that song is awesome.

I wouldn’t call it a weird omission cus I’m pretty sure it’s still a relatively small group that feels that strongly about it but it is a top 5 MCS song for sure

Yeah outside of this website I don't really know anyone who vibes with any of that album. I wouldn't begrudge them playing it but tbh I think it's a good thing to just kinda miss that album out right now.

  15. I love PS. I still maintain that some of the songs off that album sound like they're lifted directly out of MDL sessions.

They sounded great last night. Justin's voice was a bit shaky in spots, but then he nailed it in others.
Some of the crowd, though... woof. Floor definitely seemed oversold, too.

Random, but I have two tickets to the Nashville date that I can no longer go to. Show is sold out, too. If anyone wants them DM me

  18. I should give Panic Stations another try. I remember thinking I Can Feel You and Days Will Run Away were some of their best songs but just being really indifferent to the rest. I might just not have been in the mood back then

Panic Stations is great. Anything At All, Pleasure To Meet You, Samurai Code, Heavy Boots, Broken Arrow, Gravity are all top tier songs imo.

It’s a solid album that took a long time to grow on me. I’m still thinking that they weren’t in a good place as a band when they made it since they announced their breakup shortly afterward and avoid it for that reason.
