I mean...I've seen countless times people try and educate other users when those users are wrong and said users don't care to listen and continue with whatever wrong belief they have. More often than not it's a user with a history of "wrong" posts too. We can try and educate users but when they have no interest in listening or having a legitimate discussion other than "I am right, you are wrong", there's no point.

 

I hope you read my post's edit. I completely stand by you guys if this dude is just trying to get a rise out of people (like that aliens exist guy, for example) or if he's just that shitty, in general. Blocking or ignoring women so they can just respond to the men is fucked up.

 

Really curious to know what people that got a blink tattoo/s (or related, Trio, etc) are doing now that they disowned the band

I feel like some people in this thread (just speaking generally, don't have any users in mind) don't know what to do when either they can't talk about Blink (like about the music) because no one else is talking about them, or because the discussion is surrounding criticisms. I get it if Blink is your favorite band but...there's so much more music on this site constantly posted to check out.

Also, this thread never truly stays dead for that long if we are being completely honest.

I have 32 people blocked. If Anthony_, ItsAndrew, dadbolt are women I had no idea. I could post my whole list if you want.

When people make personal attacks I use the feature provided by this site.

 

Can confirm when things get hot in here folks bounce. I mostly stay quiet and learn by reading

 

I never once made a personal attack against this user but alright. I merely just asked if they could be banned, and if that constitutes a "personal attack" in this users eyes, well, I don't know what to say.

Because I like to talk about music and share opinions about music topics.

People got mad at me because I said it was cool how Thrice tried a bunch of different stuff on Palms, like using new instruments and including using a guest vocalist. People became very mean to me because they said I should have said the name of guest artist because it’s hard for females to make a name in record music (which is Emma Ruth Rundle for the record). I also never mentioned that the new instruments they used by name (a Harp).

Also people are mad because I worked with Scott Borchetta and shared my experience that he seemed like a nice and professional person. I get that he and Taylor Swift are currently battling over music rights. But I was told as a male my opinion didn’t count. No one said my male opinion didn’t count when I said I had worked with worked with artists like Julia Michaels and she was a lovely person.

Sometimes people get mad when someone else’s opinions don’t align with theirs. I may have a different view point sometimes, but I don’t personally attack people.

I appreciate what you posted earlier as well. This site is meant to be inclusive (I hope) and it’s unfortunate when people feel hesitant posting their thoughts because stuff like this happens.

I’ve also been attacked because I said Looney Tunes isn’t big with kids right (I have kids so I am very aware) and sadly Looney Tunes has many segments way back that were very racist and offensive and I wasn’t going to take my kids to see the new Lebron James version of Space Jam.

 

Just because you worked with Scott Borchetta and he was nice to you means nothing. A lot of people are two faced and show different personalities to different people. It’s been clearly documented that he is a piece of shit and for someone to chime in with their positive experience with him while he is doing other artists very dirty is a horrible look.

Hi Trevor, out of those I’ve blocked, 9 say male, 3 say female, 1 says gender fluid, and the rest have don’t have a gender posted so out I respect For those users I don’t guess. Please use facts. I guess I might as well make it 10, because accusing someone of hating women to me qualifies as an attack.
