edit: they're from st petersberg russia, just like trna, the band i discovered in 2015 that i love. they have similarities in their sound for sure.

Is the Jezabels record a step up from the last? Loved the debut full length (endlessprisoner get it lol) but didn't care for the one before

 

I like it! I thought the last one was great too, I loved their pure Kate Bush worship, so maybe I'm not the best judge of it ha, but I think it's well worth a listen.

Probably the best song on there.

Not been a wildly great first quarter for me but the top 6 are all great LP's. The bottom two are there simple because I actually heard all of them.

I do really need to listen to the new Iggy album, Plague Vendor too I need to listen to ASAP.

 

Pinegrove, Loner Chic and Kanye have basically been my album rotation for months. Nothing else this year has really caught my ear as much as those.

I listened last night and, as expected, loved it. I need to spend more time with it, but it's definitely a great release

"Mistakes" is a top song of the year for me at this point.

 

My favorites are probably "Godawful Things" and "Miserable Failure," but "Mistakes" is great. Only song on that album I'm not into is the title track.

@nothingsforeverdude Good call on Junior Battles. I feel like their last record was really under-appreciated.

 

Junior Battles just put out a cover of Dancing On My Own and it made me very happy even if I don't like them much
