hah. That made me laugh. Was not expecting that at all!

 

Finally listened to the podcast and I agree with Thomas, I cannot get into the new album at all and it kind of bums me out.

 

The flaming Fuck sign is back

 

Is that why the set list said pyro on certain songs?

 

Travis was warming up with Los Angeles? If they add that song, I will definitely need to buy a ticket.

When is the first date of the tour? They need to announce winners of the prize packs and basses and whatnot.

Los Angeles is so, so bad, especially the verses. I think I'm in the minority on that opinion, though.

 

I'm of the opinion that it's the worst full length track on the album. "So, so bad" still feels a little harsh but I mostly agree with the sentiment.

I agree. I like the bridge though. The rest is bad.

I agree, the verses on this are terrible. I used to hate this song, but the chorus just gets stuck in my head. When listening to the chorus all I envision is the song playing over Clippers or Lakers clips for game promos.

 

I don't see the hate at all for Los Angeles. Reminds me so much of the Untitled-era angst. Top-3 California song for me.

 

"Los Angeles" has really grown on me. The bridge cements it as one of my favourites on the record.

 

I really like this line from San Diego:

I like how the tour kicks off in San Diego. But blink I thought you can't go back to San Diego?!?!

 

I don't like that they brought back the "fuck" sign.

 

Where is this info on the Fuck sign coming from? Just that the setlist says "pyro" or is there something else?

If I'd been in charge of naming this album I'd have called it "Oxygen" after that line. But that's purely because I have no affinity for nor attachment to California and thought it was a rubbish title all along...

(P.S. Do bands usually play singles live before they release them? I remember Rise Against held off playing Tragedy + Time until it was released, for instance.)
