He is not getting paid money this year so when you see our current cap space its without Telvin being accounted for, no?

 

Like yes Telvin is not earning game checks but accounting wise they can’t count that as salary cap until next season

 

The $9 million he was set to earn this season is forfeited so it's off the books, he isnt getting paid that. The only thing he is currently on the books for is $7 million, which is the remainder of his guaranteed bonuses

Imagine going and working in a constantly loud and busy and demanding restaurant. Not like once but 5 days a week for years with only one day off at a time usually. Imagine that.

Now y’all understand why I plan so many trips & tours lol. Hell, on normal workweeks I’m LUCKY I get Sundays off for football, most jobs won’t even let me do that

People with children: how do you feel about teachers having their own social media and posting pics or video from class with your children visible to anyone that happens to follow them?

But maybe I would? That's a good question. I do think parents are in for a day of reckoning over how much shit they share publicly about their kids without thinking of the consequences and it's resulted in me changing how much I share quite a bit

 

I think a heads up at the start of the year and letting parents opt out is fair. There's no "reason" the teacher HAS to do it so it's not like it's unfair for the parents to be like, nah, we're good.

 

I’ve never had this. But that’d be weird. And I probably wouldn’t be cool with it.

 

I'll say as a non-parent who worked with a lot of teachers, teachers being active on social media and sharing ideas is super, super helpful across the profession. And I like teachers that are using Twitter, for example, to engage their students with extra info and opportunities for extra credit.

But, there's also ways to do it without sharing photos of your students, especially if we're talking K-6.

edit: The specific teacher Im thinking of who is really great...the only time Ive seen photos of his students is when they do an end of the semester big public event for their WWII research...and so that doesnt feel out of bounds to share far and wide in the way a normal classroom photo might.

 

Thanks for the feedback. I kinda know two teachers and it’s a common daily instance of them posting funny or random videos of stuff going on in their class. Not even event stuff, just milling around or talking or whatever. All the kids are 10 or younger it seems. Always struck me as odd.
