This won't be earth shattering or anything, but I'm sure it'll have something I'll enjoy.

Wow this band isn’t dead, huh

  4. The single is very 80s. Cool guitar tones and not much going on lyrics-wise.

Titles look like they came from a beach slang title generator

This album won't be anything mindblowing, but it will be stupid fun. No complaints from my end based on the first single.

Yeah both their albums are pretty fun and catchy without being earth shattering and i expect the same with this.

    They are great live

They really are, saw them one time jet-lagged and with a cold and still had a great time.

I really, really have a soft spot for this band and James. I took my son with to the show in St. Paul and seen in Minneapolis also and both shows James came over and talked and is one of the very few musicians I’ve met that truly gets it and is humble. Really excited for anything James does. A lot of it sounds the same, but I know it’s going to have energy and it’s going to to be rock n’ roll and it’s going to take my mind off of what’s going on in the rest of the world.

Couldn't get the article to generate the song:

I dig this, sounds like Broken Social Scene meets Beach Slang. I think this band has a very consistent and high quality warmth in their approach to punk music and are a blast to see live.

Is there an allegation or something or have people just lost interest?

well, they keep getting good support slots (goo goo dolls, the offspring, dashboard confessional) so someone on high must be a fan somewhere.

i'm actually going to one of their headlining dates on this run in norfolk, va in a tiny dive which i'm pretty stoked for. we'll disregard the fact it's my first concert out since becoming a dad, but a show is a show.

He is a great guy! Met him 3 times and super genuine and humble. He reminds me of me. Super high energy and never sits still and has the racing brain. Always trying to create music and he is super creative, graphic design. He has the cutest kid also!

  21. This leans super hard into the 80s arena rock influence. The guitar riffs are huge, but I don’t know if it’s something I’ll put on a lot. The acoustic songs are really nice though, especially “Bar No One.” They’ve done a great job incorporating strings and horns on those.

This was ok. I don't think I have the desire to listen to it again.

I was worried this would lean to heavy into the rock angle but it sounds like a familiar and fresh Beach Slang and that makes me happy.
