About the Gladys Outer Worlds talk on the other page you can just land on Monarch without the pass at the other end of the map. All you have to do is make it across the map killing beasts/bad guys. I did it without buying that pass off her by mistake, once you make it to Stellar Bay you move into the next part of that mission.

I don't know if it was solely responsible. I think EA running Dead Space into the ground contributed to the decline of the horror genre, but it was really just part of a bigger picture trend. The downfall of Dead Space as a franchise kind of coincided with a really weak point in horror game history where a lot of the biggest franchises were turning out terrible games (Silent Hill Downpour, Resident Evil 6, and Dead Space 3 all released within a year of one another lol) and the indie horror game scene hadn't quite made a name for itself yet. In fact, I think it's probably accurate to say that the nadir of the horror genre might have given that indie scene the push it needed to become what it became. And then that led to, for instance, Capcom deciding to go back to basics with Resident Evil 7 and the RE2 remake. Always darkest before the dawn and all that.

Yeah for sure, but I also don't think the twitch horror scene becomes what it became with the rise of indie horror. What would they have played?
