I mean I get why that was called. Clear contact. But what is he suppose to do? He drew his foot back to strike the ball and as he was coming down for the kick Mane came from behind and stepped in front of his foot....leading to Aurier striking the back of his leg.

Salah sitting on the field for 5 mins, trainers come out and do nothing but chat with him. He gets up walks as slow as possible with no limp. Ref needs to make him get off the pitch quicker.

 

Disgraceful goal to concede. Has absolutely ruined the game for me.

 

Not upset with this loss as it’s basically expected. But I really just dislike Liverpool. They’re so frustrating to play against. For a team that’s so talented and executes so well...they still get so many lucky breaks.

 

Imagine Xhaka being your captain. His attitude coming off was disgraceful.

 

And it’s not shocking NDombele comes on and we instantly have more possession. I get wanting to rotate players but Eriksen is non-existent and does not deserve to be out there. He plays so lifeless. This team will be so much better once NDombele and Lo Celso are starting over Eriksen and Dele.

and it’s not like he makes up for it by being good defensively. He is just shit all around.

 

What the FUCK was that VAR call? Seriously, what the fuck. That call was so totally negligible, the ref NEEDED to see that and make his own call via the monitor.

 

The Xhaka incident is mad.

His attitude coming off is bad, but I will say this:

If i turned up to your place of work and, regardless of how good you were at your job that day, shouted insults at you, and jeered you, and swore at you, yo'd have every right to tell me after a little while to fuck off.

His actions weren't great, but I think he's had enough of our fans shit. He wasn't bad today at all, and he still got shit. He's become the scapegoat, as have many Arsenal players beforehand. The reality is that he isn't a good fit for us but he didn't deserve that today and I wasn't surprised to see him finally snap after a year of abuse.

 

Well we started Lovren so we were at least trying to even it out.

Why has Emery put him in that situation though? From the Arsenal matches I’ve seen he is anything but a captain on the pitch, and the fans were already against him. Emery seemed to knowingly put a massive target on his back.

I don’t think there’s any excuse for his strolling off though, get the feck off the pitch and snipe back afterwards if you need to. I’d be fuming if I was Emery.
