It depends on the act. I want to know what Blink is playing before I decide to purchase tickets for my date because I don't want to just watch them play the same songs I've seen multiple times before. I want some new material before I drop the cash on a ticket.

I was thinking today while working in my cubical listening to the new album that I would love if they made a funny video for kings of the weekend that was very office spacey

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

I prefer being in the dark and being completely surprised by the set list. But for a band like blink that I follow so closely, seeing the set list ahead of time is inevitable for me.

However, if it is a band I do not know very well, sometimes I will look for the set list to familiarize myself with some of the songs they will be playing and enjoy the show more.

I'm going to see them on the 22nd so I'm gonna avoid this forum for a day to be surprised (hopefully not disappointed) with the setlist

    Sleekest of beaks. So Good.

My date was sold out before I got the chance to get tickets, so i'm just here listening to the record being peanut butter and jealous.

I'm not until September 9, so I definitely won't avoid it. Haha.

Same - well 2 days for me... I'm going to the show next Saturday and then to the Phoenix show in late September. Hope to see some contrast in the setlist.

I'm very lucky to live in New Jersey. They play 9 times within a 2 and a half hour drive from me.

I would be so tempted to go to all of them, haha. I live in Chicago, and there are only 2 shows within a 2.5 hour radius.

I wish the Jones Beach and PNC shows were switched so that the PNC show was Saturday night

PNC is such a trash venue to see blink. I saw them there in 2004 - there was little atmosphere with no GA section in the front.

I haven't seen the venue they're at here in Nashville. But from what I hear it's great, it's a brand new amphitheater built recently

I kind of feel bad for cropping Travis out now, lol.

Listened to TOYPAJ today after playing California non-stop since it released and the differences are pretty clear. Anthem pt 2 alone starts with three different riffs before the vocals kick in whereas this new album is almost entirely vocal driven

Yeah it's definitely noticeable when you sing along to this record in the car. You basically never take a breath. Haha. Feels like "Kings of the Weekend" and "San Diego" have the only bridges where you can listen to the music and not sing (unless you count the ah's in the background).

What a difference from the last record where everyone complained "blink hasn't written a bridge with vocals in years".

honestly if neighborhoods had vocal bridges and didnt sound like garbage it would have been a million times better, im curious to what john feldmann would have done to that record

Nobody likes you when you're 23

The more I listen to California, the more I discover little details on the songs, just showing how well thought the production is.

At 2:45 there's a weird (feedback guitar?) sound that pans from the left to center. It's present on the album version too.

And I agree, the vocals make up the lack of riffs, it's incredible how many vocal layers and harmonies are all over the songs.
