Oh wow Setlist.fm had Strain Your Memory and HS Friend under others, didn't see those. Glad SYM was there, that needs to be a set staple from now on.

Also I know they're trying to split up songs or whatever, but please get House on Fire and (personally) Tellin' Lies out of there already.

Just noticed Portland is playing in the background of Mark Hoppus’s latest instagram story

I saw them on their last tour pre-HE release and they only played Anna (as it was the only single they released at that point). I thought they had a great set list, and if they simply just switch out a few for HE songs I can’t imagine it not being really fantastic because the new album is good.

If someone talks to them on tour ask if they have a few more songs to release.

Going to the show in Chicago tonight. I’d be very happy with that set.

Not looking at the set list for once in my life.

Also likely have an extra ticket. Not a sold out show, but if anyone is interested lmk

House on fire is legit my least favorite menzos song ever. By a lot. A good chorus in search of a song.

I’m fine without HOF. That’s fine. It’s the other song I’m raising my eyebrows at in your take!!!

Was kind of a weird flow in the set, but I guess that is what happened when you have 11 shows to judge historically lol.

I am hooked on Tigers Jaw now though

House on Fire is great. Boy Blue is my vote for worst song on recent albums.
    TJ are FANTASTIC.

I’ve never listened to TJ. Should I start in chronological order or somewhere else?

S/T is their best in a lot of fans opinions.. They used to have 2 core singers. Adam and Ben. Ben is the cleaner singer, Adam was the really raspy drawn out kinda weirder dude. TJ had Adam and Ben doing co-vocals till Charmer. Charmer is the last album with Adam, the original bassist, and drummer. The album after, Spin, all the guitars, drums and bass was done by Ben and vocals became Ben and Brianna (keyboards, she did some backing vocals before also but now is more prominent and has some songs all her own on vocals.)

    Me personally?
    S/T (LP1)
    Spin (LP4)
    Charmer (LP3)
    Spirit Desire EP
Balance & Composure/Tigers Jaw Split EP
4 way split EP (Fake Death)
    Two Worlds (LP2)

"Carry You Over" is also a one off track that kicks ass.

Seeing the two of them on the same bill in a couple of weeks will be so fun. First time seeing Menzos since the tour with Jeff Rosenstock, but I was able to see TJ 4 times last year.

wtf two worlds is so great. they really had the riffs on that one, and that was probably the last time Ben and Adam's songs were at a pretty equally good level for me

I think my order of preference goes charmer, two worlds, self titled, spirit desire ep, 4 way split and then I don't like spin almost at all

i wasn't even in the tigers jaw thread oops

more on topic Im still kind of lukewarm on this but I didn't initially love after the party aside from a few songs and I love it now, so I suppose there's room for that to change

Same night in Detroit last night as well, so doesn't seem like they'll swap anything. They were great once again though

They actually did swap the order of Good Things and Burn though last night, which seemed super unnecessary and weird lol
