Idk where I stand with him. He can come across at times as very "try-hard"y and he can be a terrible interviewer, but something about his constant enthusiasm really gets me.

Log in to tumblr and the sponsored ad is a unicorn striking onions with lightning from it's horn and turning them into funyuns. Why am I still on that site, again? Oh right, I like pictures of mountains more than any normal person should.

I thought Street Fighter: Red Tape and new material Seinfeld was amazing. I don't find him funny otherwise.

Never watched Pete Holmes' show, but watched all of the Ex-Men videos on YouTube. I thought they were mostly pretty funny.

Pete Holmes is definitely hit or miss. When he hits he hits. When he misses, it has me cringing.

This seems pretty gendered, as a number of my friends have had similar comments and how they think it is related to popular conceptions of femininity.

People tend to think I'm mad all of the time or just serious about everything. My sarcasm doesn't translate well a lot of the time as a result.

Tbh. I did used to take everything you said extra serious because you have Malcolm X as an avatar. Though you were also often posting in the Political threads.

I imagine this happening forever. Me sitting at my son's high school graduation, ready to stand and applaud as he walks across the stage, feeling a finger tap my shoulder and hearing a faint whisper saying "Ronnie hasn't done anything wrong, better hope he doesn't kick your ass."

  12. I worked for the same company and while days like these sucked, I miss it a lot. I got a lot of the non-sport brands which had a lot less issues though. I remember working Madden 25 launch night and feeling so drained by the end of the first hour. What a sh*t-show. Plants vs. Zombies was a blast.

  17. There's like a group of music bloggers and adjacent friends that all seemed to have this job. Did you guys all work from the same building? Or was it remote work?

  18. Hopefully she appreciates that for what it is, a very difficult thing to come out and say. Good on you.

I went on a tear about this the other day after you were attacked (or whatever you want to call it), Jason. The Ronald Radke thing is messy and incredibly frustrating because there is nothing you can do or say to stop any of his bullshit from happening.

His fan base is young, inexperienced, and naive. They worship him because he's bigger than life and they like his music. They don't know any better than to stand by him even when the law tells him he's wrong for things completely unrelated to his "artistic" exports. You can cut him down with words, but in the long run, words won't do anything. He's a Hydra with a ton of heads at this point and short of incarceration, his fan base will continue multiplying because he's "real" and speaks "the truth"-despite public record showing the exact opposite. This makes him dangerous.

Until he's put away for something-and I'm sure someday he will be-Ronald Radke is here to stay. He's a cash cow and a sociopath. That's a dangerous mix with both sides feeding off of each other. I think the best thing we can do is to continue to speak out against him. I also think it's the worst thing we can do. The situation surrounding him is complex and frustrating to no end.

  20. NFS was so boring. haha All engagements were by foreign fans, which made grading sentiment really difficult.

Thomas and Drew Maroon worked there for a while too. So did Brian Fulda (Culprit). Brian and Jack (I'll say it, because why hide it?) worked in Pasadena while the rest of us were remote.

It was all remote. At least, it was for people not in SoCal. I know a few went into the home office that were from that area.

It was easy work and it paid well. However, they got in some trouble I can't talk entirely about because they did some weird tax stuff with paying employees and stuff. I wouldn't do it again because the way the company was actually run, but the people were very nice (outside of you know who) and I would love to do that style of work again.

Jealous about The Starting Line. I'm going to the normal tour date in Atlanta with a friend, and I gotta say, there's a pretty big nostalgic part of me excited for it. I've never seen Dashboard or TEN.

  25. Today you see what band's and their management actually understand social media by if they post on Instagram begging for you to turn on push notifications. Fun litmus test.
