Guys the song Surviving is great, your nuts! But to each his own..

Loving it. I can see calling One mil the weakest. It’s still good tho, that’s not a knock on it

finally listening to this in full after aborting an earlier listen on less than ideal speakers

As a huge fan of IB, I wasn’t sold on the more old school poppy JEW sound of All The Way but this is fucking fantastic

 

555 is 10/10 fucking amazing, and unlike anything they've ever put out. I'm actually blown away by this song.

And I don't understand the One Mil hate, it sounds like a super awesome 90s song. Might be my second favorite? Nothing comes close at all to 555 though. I need to listen to this a few more times, they really knocked it out of the park though.

 

So this is good. Definitely some cool stuff here to keep pushing them forward after all these years. Definitely some run of the mill jimmy as well. While I don’t find the length of the album an issue, I do personally see some songs that I wish had a bit more meat...maybe extend a solo or add more to a bridge etc. No songs seem incomplete per se, but to me some just fly right by, Which of course is weird to say given the closer lol. I liked Love Never better here but I still can’t get into Stay (every fucking time I just sing Work instead). I also found myself a bigger fan of One Mil more than some of you, while not as crazy about Criminal Energy. Diamond, 555, Delivery, and Recommit are lovely. Closer is great but I do feel recommit seems/feels more “final” to me. Overall time will tell when comparing to all the other releases. Some great lines, but not as many that make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up like Jimmy songs have done so in the past.

Oh! And the drums do sound great (as someone mentioned) but for some reason the guitars on the DL I have sound...compressed or hollow? Idk how to explain it - just don’t like how they sound at times.
