Because they keep getting put over on commentary at every turn and headlines previous PPV’s leading up to tv. They’ve made them feel like a big deal and that when they lost it was an upset. Giving them the belts is the easy way out, IMO, and I don’t even think it’s the wrong choice to have them win the belts first, I get why they would win. But the guts to put other talent over is refreshing as hell to see. Also, the company is new, it’s the second week of TV, the young bucks will convince anyone who thinks they aren’t a big deal down the line.
