I go back and forth on the singles, but I generally still want to get by them all to listen to the songs I haven't heard as much.

I wouldn't say the singles are my least favorite on the album because I have definitely learned to appreciate how they give the album some different looks. The rest are mostly darker/heavier tracks or throwback pop punk, but the singles add a few layers of diversity to the album.

I can talk about it all day...it's my favorite part on the whole album.

I agree with you. The lyrics are kind of cheesy...I'm not giving up on it though, maybe it'll grow on me.

 

The bass in Black Rain just tears my car speakers apart. I love it

 

i don't hear matt on the last chorus in heaven. maybe doing backups but he doesn't sing it alone

I'm glad MNF is just a glorified music video basically. I was so glad they sound good on Hated You live and then they absolutely butchered that beginning and it would've bummed me out if that was on national tv haha.

Like someone said a few pages back it's hard to see rankings because I really like them all! Been listening all weekend and today during work. Not tired of it one bit.

 

I think it will only be on the CD and not Japanese streaming services. So we’ll need to wait for someone to either get it in the mail or pick it up at a store then rip the track from the disc.

Really? That sounds pretty distinctly Matt singing the lead there. It sounds like Mark is still mixed in there (just less prominently), but if you compare the second and third/last chorus it’s definitely different.

 

Definitely excited to hear them sing Heaven, Pin The Grenade and First Time live whenever they decide to play them. Apparently Mark said during a sound check that the plan is to tour the US promoting NINE at some point next year.

 

I told myself I wouldn’t do this, both because it’s really fucking hard, and because I very much enjoy this record front to back, but here we are. My rankings are as follows:

I think the last chorus is both of them singing in unison. Some of the words sound very distinctly Mark to me on headphones.
