I know there’s a TON of love for Untitled and I know it brought on a new wave of Blink fans. I appreciate that album a lot and think it’s a work of art, but I haven’t been this excited or happy about a Blink album since TOYPAJ. I sure as hell have not connected with a blink album since TOYPAJ. Honeymoon phase is still super strong with this one.

I definitely wasn’t expecting this.

 

Trying to get into this. I really hate the beginning of Darkside but the chorus is catchy

 

I don’t know why, but the lyrics in the chorus to hungover you or at least marks part sounds like cheese ball country music to me, or the way he sings it lol

 

I like that people can interpret Heaven differently. I like when a song has wiggle room like that haha

Some of these songs are okay. Overall I still am not really into Nu-Blink. Sorry everybody!

 

The second verse of “Remember to Forget Me” is definitely in that category.

 

Would you say it’s better than California though? I know you were not a fan of that album

 

When was this filmed? And why is Travis' drum kit front and center instead of on the riser? So many questions!

 

Yes. I think songs on this actually benefit from having Skiba on them instead of feeling like a filler guest. Travis’s drumming is getting pretty old to me, tbh

I was hit or miss on the Nine singles, but this album - overall - is pretty good. I think I like it a bit more than California because it's a little more darker and experimental (but I really like California so probably too early to say for sure).

When I Really Wish I Hated You was released, I did not like it at all, and now it's one of my favorites on the album. I would say Happy Days is easily my least favorite on this album...by a wide margin. It's pretty much the only song that I don't genuinely enjoy.

Hungover You is definitely my fave so far.

I want to report that my dad (the one that introduced me Blink 182 by saying +44 sounded like them and handed me Enema of the State) approves of this record.

He said it might be the best record they have done since returning and that they have the energy from their earlier work.

He found California repetitive and likes this much more. He also agrees that Matt seems way more integrated.

This album is now officially dad approved.

 

One of my friends in London just got tickets to the 2nd acoustic set they added in October. Stoked for him.

 

That's funny because I'm the opposite. "Happy Days" was my least favorite pre-release, I didn't listen to "RWIHY" when the single dropped but it is prob. my least favorite song on the entire record. While "Happy Days" is growing on me each day. I'm actually bummed they're performing the latter on MNF tonight just because I wish it was any other song from this record.

 

They should be performing Darkside. That tune is so catchy.
