pretty good smackdown. Lesnar vs Kofi is by far and away Kofi's biggest match since mania. It makes sense. It makes sense for Kofi, it makes sense for the WWE, it makes sense for Fox... i think it's a big time draw. How is Kofi going to get out of this? He might not and personally, i dont think he has to.

the scariest part of the brand split ending, for me, is the womens division. What we're getting now, with the four horsewomen actually getting a chance to be involved in an angle together, is what we get when there's no 'hard' split. We should be getting these type of feuds and this type of angle, but the divisoin has been handcuffed with the split. Sure it's supposed to allow others to shine, but it also takes away from "gold angles". I like the way it's progressing and i'm sad that it's going to end in a few weeks.

KO vs Shane stuff sucks. I can't argue that.

King Corbin.... i dont hate Corbin and i 'get' Corbin needing something and him as king does make sense. But i just dont think he reallllllly needed it. Gable didn't get his heat back tonight and he most likely wont ever get it back. Corbin doesn't need wins to make his character any better or stronger. He's HATED by the universe...and he never should win the WWE or universal title (at least in the next year or so). He just doen't need it.

Rowan push. Hey, i'll give them credit for TRYING to put someone new in the picture. I also kinda like Bryan staying true to his character. Honest Bryan is a great character. I liked Rowan's pre-taped promo. Honestly, it might sound stupid, but what Rowan really needs is...a new name. Or a nick name. I can't get "meh" out of my head everytime i hear Erick Rowan. It sounds too jobbery. BUT i like they're trying something. It's a "B" level to me. Not amazing, but i support the effort.

Nakamura and Sami. Still not totally into it. Love them separtate...but i think Sami should be used for a LOT more than the Aiden English position.

I wish the tag division had one belt :( Heavy Machinery, Revival, AoP, Viking Raiders, New Day, Usos. What a GREAT core for what could be an exciting divison. but with two belts? It's just a big mash-up of teams where no one team can really get over.

overall, i like the product right now i have to admit.

I'm very excited about tonight, when I look back on it I always wished NXT would be live because instead of watching the weekly show I would just read spoilers then watch the PPV.

 

I was the same way. I think the only time I actually wanted to watch live was Kushida's first match.

In other news, looks like AEW: Dynamite is the show name. Kinda lame. I think it should just be called "All Elite Wrestling"

 

Was it not supposed to be 2 hours? i thought for sure they said it was 2 hours tonight but the guide shows it's only on until 9

 

The second hour is on the network the first 2 weeks because of the suits finale I think.
