I truly do not understand why people who’ve said incredibly dumb stuff in the past have so much trouble with sincerely apologizing, outside of not being able to take the blow to their ego and/or they’re not truly sorry. It was the same shit with Kevin Hart. It wasn’t just that he said awful, homophobic things, it was also that he mocked the people that brought it up until they had to pry an apology out of him.

I think they're unable to see how their comments affect people and have consequence or have empathy for how it impacts people, for Shane I guess because he sees it as just shooting the shit with his buddy

 

I don’t buy into the thinking that a network would hire someone who says inflammatory things for PR. Not to say they’re not shitty, but I just don’t think they think on that level. They just didn’t do the proper vetting and are eating shit because of it.
