I get more texts from wrong numbers than I'd like. They almost seem fake but they're so specific. A month ago I got someone talking about a job at some pool but they replied "never mind" right after and I was like okay they realized I was the wrong number. Then last week I got a text from someone else meant for Noah asking me if I could cover their shift. Now I just got a text from some rando informing me that if I don't stop with the fireworks they will call the cops :scream:

why is this happening to meeeeeee

  2. Every now and then I get a rando text from someone asking to cover a shift. I had my number since middle school so not like it could be an old number. One time it was target and the other an old job saying they were someone named Taylor and was very specific on the shift that needed to be covered and why. I freaked out because the area code was an area code of someone I felt was trying to get in contact with me (I know very few people with that area number) and I hadn't worked at that job in few years, so it couldnt have been a mistake and very likely someone still working there gave them my number??

I went catfish and tried to search the number to see if I can get a name info to pop up so I'd stop freaking out but you have to pay for that shit. I didn't reply for several reasons.

I hate bugs so much. They scare the shit out of me, and I just think they are gross. Worst ones for me are centipedes and spiders and I had a horrible experience with a spider this morning and now I keep thinking bugs are crawling on me. So I get home late last night and as I'm getting ready for bed, I see a spider on my wall. I'm instantly freaked out and think I gotta kill it. So I go to get something to squish it and it is gone. No idea where it went. So I tell myself I need to suck it up and be brave and just go to sleep (I am paranoid that bugs will crawl on me when I'm sleeping). So I wake up in the morning and everything seems fine....until I go to get my shower. I'm getting undressed and I go to take my bra off and I see something black stuck on my boob. I think it's just black fuzz or something cause my bra is black. NOPE!!!! That mother fucking spider crawled into my bra as I slept and I must have killed it and squished it in my sleep and it stuck to my skin. I think I left my body for a minute I was so horrified. Now I am going to be even more paranoid about bugs being in my bed omfg.

I walked home from class one day and was 20 minutes from campus and 20 minutes from home and I had to poop and it got to the point to where I couldn't walk, so I went in someone's yard behind a tree of theirs.

Ok I just got another wrong text from a rando. These have to be fake, right? They're all from different numbers from seemingly different locations except they start in the same area code as me. Leave me alooooone! 20160707_155336.png

Not so much frustration as panic/concern. Long ass post incoming:

On Friday as I pulled into a parking spot and a passenger in the car next to me opened their door as I was already pulling in and they hit the front side of my car. Note: I DID NOT COLLIDE WITH AN ALREADY OPEN CAR DOOR.

When I filed the claim I said that someone opened their car door as I was pulling into the parking spot, and that their door hit the front left side of my car (from the edge of my driver's side door to there my headlight begins). I probably should have mentioned that my headlight begins on the side of my car, where it curves around from the front. I told them all this, but TBH I said that I didn't notice much if any cosmetic damage on my car and I'm not sure that I stressed enough that my car was already in the process of being parked when the other car's door swung open and collided with the side of my car. This is the absolute truth, but it almost sounds like a lie that someone who drove into an open car door might say, I dunno.

So they asked me if I wanted to sign on for text notifications, I said yes. And also they asked if I wanted to have a valet pick up my car and take it to a repair site. Problem is, I was certain that my car was hit on the front left side (where my car door was) but I literally just now checked and it looks like their car door hit my front fender because I noticed a vertical slice. I didn't see it at the time so I didn't report it.

So now I've got some concerns. Since the passenger opened their door at the exact moment I was pulling into the parking spot, are they liable? Or am I liable? I'm concerned because if you were to look at my car, and their car, one could easily arrive at the conclusion that I just drove into a parked car's passenger side door after it was open. If the dude in the other car just said "someone hit my car", which he did (I overheard him saying that on the phone), than it would seem like I am liable when I don;t see how I could have avoided this and it seems like all the passenger had to do is look before they opened their car door. But it seems like this could go either way, and mostly in the way that my insurance goes up a lot and I have to pay for damages that seem to be the fault of someone opening their car door at the exact moment I was pulling into the spot when they should've looked first to see if anyone was pulling in.

So right now I really, really want to clarify this with my insurance but I was told by my old man that calling them back is not a good idea. The valet is coming by to take my car to a shop on tuesday.

So what can I do on my end to ensure that I don't get fucked? I mean I'm not liable for this, right? Or am I? And if I am, how? Their car door was totally fucked up (wouldn't even close) but was I supposed to have a spider sense telling me when someone is in a parked car in the space next to me and when they are opening their car door seconds before it happens so something like this can be avoided?

Also, this happened Friday. So I'm assuming there will be another call or email to follow up and get more info about the accident and how everything will be settled?

Finally, they mentioned a valet service to get my car repaired but didn't say anything about bringing someone out to look at my car? I assumed that's what they were talking about when they said someone was coming to pick up my car and bring it to a repair shop, but now that I know there's just a slice on the front fender I'm wanting to cancel that and just have someone look at the car to confirm where the impact was. Thing is, I asked my old man about this and he suggested that you should never call the claims department back to clarify a claim. Is this true or is there any harm in calling them to cancel the repair, clarify the incident a bit more, and ask if someone can just look at the damages of my car?

Sorry for the long ass post, just kinda panicking here because the other car's door was FUCKED and I'm worried about my insurance going up and having to pay a fuck ton of money to repair their car when I don't see how I'm all that liable, if at all.

  14. @Driving2theBusStation since the other guy is claiming you hit his car, it sounds like a "he said she said". You'd probably have to take it to a small claims court or something. Aren't there people who's job it is to look at car damages and how/what caused the damage? I'm sure theres a way to tell that you did not run into an open car door by looking at the damage. If anything say you're starting to feel pain and you're injured because they hit the side of the car you were on. I think instead of saying that you were in the process of pulling in the spot, you could have just said the person next to you opened their car door and it hit yours right when you parked, because then it doesnt sound like you hit them/both of you are at fault. From the way it sounds, it looks like both of you are at fault... like does the front end of your car have damage? or just the side? if the front end has no damage, it doesnt make sense that its your fault (even tho it isn't), but if it is damaged, technically you're at fault (stupid i know) and if you don't want to pay for their damages, go to court and just say you only want to pay for your car damage because (give reason) and they should pay for their own damages too

I checked the car again recently and it does look like there's a slice on the far left of the front bumper. I just don't know how the collision could've been avoided when the passenger swung the door open so fast as I was pulling in, but like you said, maybe we are both at fault, or for some dumbass reason I will legally be at fault (seems like it could easily not go my way if the other party just says I drove into their door), which pisses me off so much right now and makes me scared to park next to a car ever again. Fuck. Sorry for the rant, its just that i can't afford my insurance going up right now, which it no doubt will, plus extra costs for damages. Ugh, damn it.

I was in a place called sweetheart circle in college that had a ton of flowers and big oak trees so it was hard to see. The speed limit is 5 and there are huge speed bumps. A GSU service truck hit me going 55 in between speed bumps bc they were pretty far apart while I was backing out. I got a ticket bc apparently if you get hit backing out its always your fault no matter what? I asked another cop that came into my work and he said it sucks but it's true. I had to pay for my car, the truck, and my hospital bill. I'm still pissed about it.

First order of the day was 200 bucks worth of food. Didn't tip. Made his fuckin ass carry all three boxes to the car himself.

Next dude told me to get change when his meal was 19.50 bucks and he handed me a 20 so I just chilled and took as long as possible so he'd leave me the fifty cents.

Come to Regency folks, I'm 100 percent done with all of your shit.

  19. I understand your frustration. The other people should have been more careful. I posted before about how I think sometimes I think people purposely put themselves in a situation like this just so they can collect insurance money. Like I hate it how people very well see you backing up out of a parking space yet still decide to keep driving cause you to nearly hit them. If you can, you can take it court since they caused their door to be damaged but are blaming you.

  20. @AelNire wow that's lame. I hate the system sometimes. Like you can be parked no one in your car and someone backs into you and it's your fault because your front end came into contact with their backend. driving laws need to change in situations in who's at fault and who isn't

Every time I tip for takeout they give me a weird look like it doesn't happen often. I tip more depending on how busy they are. If they're swamped I usually tip as much as I would if I ate there cause I feel bad lol

If it's take out I always do an even number just because typically they are working with another person. Outside of that the only time I don't tip 25 to 30 percent is at a diner, cause I'm not leaving someone 20 percent of five bucks, I'll leave like 75 to 100 in those cases.
