I kind of enjoy reading the outlandish theories just because of how wrong they end up being. It's mostly pointless, but still a bit of fun.

I can't wait for the fan film of Rey and Luke vs Reey and Luuke.

It's way too late, or much too early Prestigious

In the end, anything with a double-bladed lightsaber has my approval.

Yeah is it Lucasfilm that puts together a trailer like this? Or some other company?

Why would they edit a trailer just to not confirm a supposed leak? If they wanted the shots in there, who cares if the concept was leaked?

someone posted this dumb gif/post that kylos cape reflection hasnt been cgi’d in yet. but all I can see after having it loop is that it sorta looks like theyre swinging at eachothers lightsabers a la the prequels again.

I’m going to say Lucasfilm because Marvel Studios constructs their trailers

Not because it *was* leaked but to just not give anything away. You would then ask why Marvel would edit out Thor’s hammer or even smart hulk or the fact that Nebula was back on Thanos’ ship. It’s to just keep some things as surprises for the audience.

So my sister and girlfriend have only seen TFA and TLJ which they really really like. They want to watch them from the beginning (imagine my pride) but I'm not so sure if we go 4, 5, 6, rogue one, solo, 1, 2, 3 or watch them in episodic order.

What's everyone's normal consensus? 4, 5, 6 for the first viewing? They know the spoilers anyway through being online

    4, 5, 6

    1 can easily be skipped
    2 is whatever
    Watch 3 and R1

I always rec release order. For effects continuity and I think from a quality perspective if you start episodic than I feel like it’s more likely they won’t buy in because the prequels are generally the least liked.

At least if you go 4,5,6 better chance of them falling in love or buying in, then being able to trudge through the prequels if they don’t end up liking it and then getting back into the better quality/visual with the Disney era

    I plan to do a re-watch in the fall and I typically do 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6, then 7 & 8 maybe R1 if time allows

My mom wants to watch them for the first time (she doesn’t know Vader is Luke’s pappy so I’m excited about that) and think I might go with this order. Not sure.

Might be cool to get that reveal and then go back to see how it happened and then finish up once you’re invested in Anakin as a character

Also, ignore everything here and watch 1 and 2. The Phantom Menace is great and gives us Darth Maul.

I'm legit shocked that she's managed to not know about that spoiler. That'll be fun.

I'm showing them to my girlfriend in the lead up to this. She saw the OT when she was younger, so she already knows the big spoiler, but hasn't seen any others. I think we're gonna do 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3, RO, Solo, 7, 8. Though I'm also toying around with 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6, RO, Solo, 7, 8 just to get that back story fill in befor the final showdown in 6.

My personal rewatch preference would be RO, 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6, Solo, 7, 8. I think a lot of elements of RO wouldn't play as well if you hadn't seen the OT and PT, so I can't recommend that for first time or mostly unfamiliar viewers. I love the idea of going on one last adventure with Han before TFA. I think it'll add a little more weight to his death.

Solo is such a weird film added to the whole SW marathon I think because it’s the least connected and just like a fun side story.

I soooooo wish the shot of Han putting the dice back on the Falcon in TFA wasn’t cut (which is why Rian made it such a key prop) so it would’ve made solo, TFA, and TLJ at least connected emotionally and cool to watch in a row

I wish Lucasfilm would channel their inner George and change TFA to add that shot in. I know that’s a slippery slope but STILL

Oh man, I didn't know about that shot in TFA. That feels like something they might sneakily add into a dvd/digital re-release to connect everything even more.
