I thought he did record on Imbue?

 

He did, I remember him being the one in an interview before the album came out saying parts of Imbue reminded him of Devil & God sonically, with what they were doing with the guitars.

 

Ah yeah I keep forgetting that Imbue was 2015, time has gone by fast.

 

I can't wait for Lilac. Traveling up to see him in Richmond!

 

Really curious what a really dark ten record would’ve been like

 

The Path (I guess it's not really dark but..)

 

the singles had me feeling like this would be their most accessible / pop influenced album and I think that's definitely true. feels a lot more like a follow up to in currents in that regard to me than imbue. feel like the singles aren't really very good representations of the album as a whole

 

Sounds good to me.

 

That dampens my excitement a bit, I want an album full of the general moody/roomy vibe of the singles

 

The vibe isn’t dissimilar, but I think the singles are a little weirder than a lot of the rest

 

perfect sphere would have been a great single but i’m glad they seem to be saving it. immediately one of my favorites they’ve done since the tripe disc
