I laughed harder when the girl tells the horse story and then gets mad and says the really crushing awesome story about her family I was just like, you fuckin' idiot

 

mannnnn the chechneyan dude's face that barry trained right before barry shot him nooooo. that little bit of a smile.

 

Just watched the finale. The part where Fuches walks out to confront the gang giving his speech and it cuts to them and they can't actually hear him was incredible.

Finally getting around to season two. Holy shit, the first episode was perfect. The first kill reenactment scene is brilliant. Oh, course it was directed by Hiro Murai.

 

“You guys are like Fleetwood Mac. You break up, get back together, and make a great album like The Best of Fleetwood Mac.”

 

"I know you were just a fetus, but is this how it happened?"

 

I love that this show has developed into something where they can mix in little flourishes like that (or all of episode 5) and it doesn't feel forced. I also really liked the way they shot Barry's progression through the monastery.

 

I’m just now watching this show and holy fuck at ronny/lilly

Follow up just finished it and it was fantastic

 

Just burned through this in a couple days. Fantastic stuff. So many throwaway lines that remind me of the Simpsons. Like when they’re doing the news conference and they have the detective and Ronny side by side and the cop just goes “see....you get it” and you hear someone in the crowd go “yeah we get it.”

 

That's some cute shit right there.

 

Finale was great. The scene where they can't hear Fuches was brilliant. Sally realizing that the truth isn't what the industry wants from her is so heartbreaking after she had that whole arc. And Barry killing his unintentional protege without even thinking was brutal. This show is the definition of a dark comedy. Season two was incredible on the whole.

Hard to pick a standout episode, but my favorite might be ronny/lily. It was so unexpected and hilarious.
