Seems to me like he’s very clearly in the camp that Tim has done his time and deserves another chance.

 

It's not any better that he acts like he's not taking any sides while still pushing talking points for the people who defend abusers. What conversation do those two dudes think they've having, talking about people having "emotional reactions to these topics" like they're simply shooting the breeze while discussing something trivial?

 

This means nothing to me. As mentioned above, when you only offer points of discussion that lean to one side and neglect the other, that’s as good as defending the subject in question. He isn’t a lawyer, it isn’t his job to defend Tim Lambesis. It’s quite clear to me which side of this he falls on.

I just can't stand people who "play devil's advocate" especially when it's to mask their own opinions. But it's a shitty mask. We can see through it.

 

It's so uncomfortable to me how As I Lay Dying is being treated like this nuanced subject on Twitter/FB when Tim tried to have his wife murdered. I can't get over it, it's so gross.

 

It's entirely possibly to provide an explanation for why something is happening without defending it.

That's what I believe was happening here, do I think Tim is a terrible person and shouldn't be able to just resume everything like nothing happen? YES but society shows otherwise. Just look at the NFL for countless examples.

I would, without even a modicum of hyperbole, rather be dead than read Jack and the guy from DGD's take on literally anything, especially Tim Lambesis

People posting in the album thread also posted in the regular Tool forum when people were discussing what happened.

I’m positive they are aware of the allegations.

So The Smith Street Band sold out their first show since emails sent by Wil Wagner demonstrating emotionally abusive behaviour were revealed.

Wil also wrote an 11 paragraph essay (I'm not even joking) on TSSB's FB about how hurt his feelings had been by the whole ordeal and how he was a victim.

I've heard a lot of people who called him out in the Facebook post have had their comments deleted (plus if you look at the original post in March all the negative comments have mysteriously vanished).

TL;DR: Fuck Wil Wagner and The Smith Street Band.

 

Having negative comments deleted in relation to your own abuse seems so shady. Just actively covering up any criticism and pretending you're in the right with full support. What a fucking shit move.

 

Just saw that Melanie Martinez is playing some really big venues soon. Super huge bummer that she can just pretend that nothing happened.
