Of all the songs released, this is definitely the most positively received from what I’ve seen on here, vinyl forums, Reddit, another blink site I go to.

 

Same. By a very large margin. Most common comment has been they shoulda released it first.

 

That doesn't have the awful open hihat on the offbeat shit that offends me OH SO DEEPLY in my heart.

Am I the only one who hears "Baby Come On" in the "Happy Days" intro riff before the first verse?

Also, really love the little pickslide-esque/mute thing before the first chorus of BIOMY hits - sorry just listening to all the released tracks and getting super hyped.

 

Youth did real good on radio so there's really no need to second guess that. They probably had a good idea that this would be a great one to release alongside the announcement and pre-orders

 

Am I the only one who hears "Anthem Pt. 2" in the prechorus?

(The only thing that irritates me a little is the "She don't know...she don't have." Otherwise, it's a solid song.)

i don't think darkside and the metro station song sound all that similar but in fairness to the comparison, musically the choruses are the same note intervals over almost the same chords

darkside: c#m, a, e, b and the melody is like g#, f#, e, c#, e

seventeen for 1 year: e, b, c#m and the melody is g#, f#, e (the recording is in eb)
