FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

I tried to give that Chasing Shadows EP an honest listen today and I couldn't get through a minute of that song Overload. And I'm someone that will always like WDNTW.

I'll probably revisit that EP and his demos album from time to time to make sure I remind myself how appreciative I am of Skiba's voice and guitar tones being in blink lol.

I absolutely love She's Out of Her Mind but to be completely fair I can definitely understand comparisons to The Rock Show

Also, I love Los Angeles and Sober is by far my least favorite on the album, which seems to be the opposite of most people's opinions

It definitely has the same vibe as The Rock Show.

I agree on both those songs too, but it really is like a least favorite child deal as I haven't been skipping any songs on here. Not even Brohemian since I put Hey I'm Sorry last. I really do love Skiba's verse in Sober. I get a kick out of hearing him do something poppy but it's personal material that easily could have been applied to a Trio song.

I put Hey I'm Sorry last too and it's legit a top 5 song for me

I legitimately can't pick a least favorite on this album. Even the very few songs that didn't fully click with me as quickly as others songs have really grown on me. I just love them all.

I think my handful of least favorites consists of Los Angeles, No Future, Rabbit Hole, San Diego

Los Angeles was originally my least favorite at first, but it has slowly become one of my favorites. Weird how that works.

I think i've liked it less as I've listened to the album more. I like that they did something different, just not a fan of the song.

I think it's smart how they start the album with 5 pretty distinct types of songs (fast intro, anthemic blink song, Rock Show type single, and then the two most different songs they've done) like we're pretty sure we're going to hook you with at least 2 or 3 of these songs. And I don't think I've heard a single bad thing from anyone about Cynical and obviously Bored has done great.

When left alone kicks in I turn into my 17yr old self, singing at the top of my lungs lol. A little embarrassing for a 35yr old dude :)

85,591 new Spotify listeners yesterday put them over 6 mil (6,023,770) and they're up to 136th in the world.

492,750 in three days and moved up 31 spots.

    I'm a nerd lol

I'm on record saying this is my favorite blink album - this isn't a complaint.

But the first lines of the choruses on Rock Show and Out of Her Mind are almost note for note the same

'I fell in love..' And 'I'm in deep' sound like they're exactly the same. To me, it's just the same line in two songs.

Which is fine! Really! I love both songs. And I would expect there to be similarities between songs. I'm a huge Weezer fan - LA Girlz and Do You Wanna Get High? off the White Album sound a whole lot like Susanne and Pink Triangle to me, and White is my favorite Weezer album since 2001. It isn't an insult or even a complaint to say 'hey, these songs sound similar.' It's the same band - it happens.

If my (very untrained - I did Music GCSE and that was about it) musical ear is correct, I think it might be the same interval but in the opposite direction (in The Rock Show Mark's voice goes up in pitch, in She's Out Of Her Mind Matt goes down in pitch)

blessed be the lost at sea

Can anyone catch what Mark is saying during the first pre-chorus of "Sober"? Specifically, it goes "I guess you really got me now" then Mark mutters something right before it gets to "black sedan." Sounds like "I'm so sore" or something. It's not in the video, or the second pre-chorus.

    AND THEN SHE SLAPPED ME!

Also I think Mark is saying "Sober" during the first pre-chorus

No but some bands tend to put out better material depending if they do it slower or faster

I'm don't love Hey, I'm Sorry as much as most people seem to, but I'm really considering buying the Japan CD on eBay right now. The thought of having 17 new blink tracks on a physical copy, ohhhhhhhh lawd.

If you do that and rip it on to your computer, I'd be ever so happy if you sent a quality good official file of that song my way lol

seems so scary to be buried

But like, come on, for a band that's been around since 1992, so what if a note or two sound the same or a riff is similar here and there? If the end result is solid, I don't really care.

Find me a punk/pop-punk band out there that hasn't recycled anything before. That bugs me.

How is there not a HQ rip of "Hey I'm Sorry" yet?

Yeah that's what I'm saying - I hear it clearly (whether it's the same or the same octave and opposite or whatever) and don't care.

Honestly, my first reaction was 'hey cool, it sounds like Rock Show there. That's fun.' Then I saw people complaining, then I saw people saying that it was nothing like it. It's a good song regardless.
