One more article. It comes from another fan theorizing Jon's real name. First time ever hearing this name mentioned though.

and b) stop using "real name". If you want to speculate about his Birth name sure, I still think its silly, but go ahead. But its not like Jon is a secret Targaryen spy who is keeping his real identity hidden from everyone... his real name is Jon Snow

 

It doesn't matter. At all really. But it's still fun to think about.

 

Yeah it's just fun. And it makes sense that his birth name would be a Targ name if he was to be a future king. Jaehaerys was also the name of a previous very wise king so I guess there could be some parallels there.

 

One of my biggest pet peeves is seeing Jon Targaryen. Regardless of the fact that he is Rhaegar's son, Jon is still Jon Snow. He doesn't get the House name just like that
