They should have called this ‘The Mark, Matt and Travis Show and just played that setlist again haha

Fingers are still crossed for a TOYPAJ in full show/tour.

Apparently doing track by track reviews are a crime I heard. But, TOYPAJ does have some certified bangers on it.

I’ll never forget taking freshman year gym in the summer before my freshman year of HS. Every Thursday we would go laser light bowling as a class and Please Take Me Home would play every single time. Then one week the employee played all of TOYPAJ and our teacher had to make him skip a couple songs haha.

So considering it looks like they've had great turnout is it safe yet to assume it was a legitimate production issue with their first show

They pretty much change the entire stage around once the acoustic set starts and Travis does his drum solo, so I could see that as a legitimate excuse. I was also at the first show in Hartford where both Weezy and Blink played long and definitely went over their set times, hence the reason they've cut feeling this and the new songs from the set. I think they had to figure some stuff out even once the tour started.

Just to play devils advocate, but worth noting that first show was a full Arena Show where they couldn't rely on there being a lawn, and the cheapest seats were $42.50.

Also didn't have a GA pit, or LiveNation Seat Upgrades

Word is that these aren’t great turnouts but the upgrades and cheaper seats are helping. Would not be surprised if we finally get “smaller” room tour next time around.

Show last night was really good, and seemed pretty full. Matt's guitar was too quiet, and the acoustic songs were kinda boring since I couldn't see Matt or Mark. We did get Blame it on my Youth, which was cool. Worth noting that Mark said it's track one on the new record, which comes out in September. I think it'd make a good opener.

  12. Word from where? The photos I’ve seen could be called damn good turnouts that almost any artist would envy.

  13. Can confirm by how fucking long it took to get out of the PNC parking lot last night. According to my friend who works there, they sold about 12,000 tickets.

Also, I went to Disrupt on Saturday at the same venue. So maybe I'm slightly biased by how full Blink felt since that show sold like 4,000 tickets.

  14. That's pretty damn good imo. If they're doing 8-12k each night I think that's a success.

Some friends who work various box offices at these Live Nation venues. Friend from a past date said there were more lawn upgrades than usual and a friend from a future show date said they are prepping for staff being cut down due to attendance.

No doubt these shows look way better than anticipated. I think the vibe was they were looking at this as a guaranteed sell out or close to it. I will be enjoying my platinum view tickets in exactly one week!

  17. I do not think that was the case.

On paper you’d think blink/Wayne/Neck Deep would be a hot tour and a sure thing. Prior to seeing how it all went down of course

  19. I'm pretty sure, based on talking to people, this is pretty close to what they expected it to sell. That something like 10-14k is right within the projected range.

This venue is pure trash. Once you park there are cops on bikes forcing you to go in. No tailgating or anything.

We just keep one by one sneaking back to the car for beers and nips and avoiding the cops on golf carts and I think this is the symbolic essence of blink-182.

Tailgaiting in concert venue parking lots is NOT something that happens in California haha. Definitely illegal unless specifically stated otherwise.

Fun facts about the TOYPAJ joke songs. The only time they played Mother’s Day was back at a random show in 1998 (you can find the video on YouTube). The first time they played Happy Holidays was in 2000 during TMTTS tour cycle in New Jersey.

Also they have never played Shut Up, Time To Break Up and Don’t Tell Me It’s Over live. I also don’t think they ever played Online Songs live even though setlist.fm says they did once (the set list looks fake to me).

I really hope they play TOYPAJ in full in 2 years in full. My favorite concerts were the TOYPAJ tour and Pop Disaster Tour. Those songs are a lot of fun to hear and sing along to live. Even the lesser songs like Give Me One Good Reason and Story Of A Lonely Guy.

They use to play it two and sometimes three times in a row during the TOYPAJ tour cycle.
