I don't think many people (in this forum) know who James Ferraro is, but he just released his new album

James basically fucks around with and deconstructs many different genres in order to comment on the current (privileged, western, technological, capitalist) human condition - this time he's trying his hand at classical (with a really Far Side Virtual sound palette)

I hope you'll like it - it is very beautiful and has a very unique sound

Bear Ghost is a great fun new group I heard on KRCL. They're from Phoenix and have an odd blend of ska, mariachi, and Nightmare Before Christmas that ends of being very unique and lots of fun to listen to.

Been listening to a lot of Against Me!, Anti-Flag, Billy Talent, The Menzingers and Rise Against.

Anything similar I should check out? Specifically more akin to Against Me!?

I recommend Gates, who I just saw open for Thrice. I've been listening a lot to their album Bloom & Breathe, which came out in 2014. Good vocals, songwriting, and interesting music.

It's right up there in the running for my AOTY. It's definitely the best debut full length I've heard this year.

This is a local melodic post-hardcore band from Portland, Oregon. Seen them open up for some really good bands in the area, they have an explosive live show and a very unique and catchy sound. Definitely recommend checking them out if you are a fan of bands such as Hail the Sun, Fall of Troy, Every Time I Die, Dance Gavin Dance, etc. Their debut album is coming out soon, August 12th! Get Wild

On doit jouer à domicile comme à la maison.

Chewing in Tinfoil is one of the best live bands Ireland has to offer at the moment, and they sound great on record too.
Nice blend of Punk/Emo with the odd ska influence thrown in. Great lyrics and singers with a very distinctly "Tallagh" accent.

Used to be the opening and backing band for Stza when he toured Europe playing Chockin Victim songs a while back. Stza does guest vocals on the brilliant "Just Like Me" on Marrowbone Lane too.
