It really sucks that Brohemian Rhapsody is only 30 seconds.

True story: Coworker of mine I mentioned before was more into hip hop, but loved the three songs released prior to the album coming out. I burnt him a copy yesterday to show him the whole album, and he texts me a couple hours later "man I loved that album so much I'm going to their website right now to buy the actual album from them to support them."

Prediction: Los Angeles will be used this fall on MNF when the Rams play. If not, in some official capacity by the team.

Random/unrelated question that some people here might know (plus it's an active thread) - do streams of music that you've downloaded and stored to your device via a streaming service (Google Play, Apple Music, etc.) count towards the artist?

Think I'll need to grab this thing on vinyl. The mixing is sublime, and the mics/mixing on Travis's drums is fucking incredible. (as always)

Saw some complaints about all the Na-na-nas on the album.

Na-na-nas to Blink 182 are what Wo-oh-oohs are to Less Than Jake. Just accept and love them.

"Hey you know that sound this band was making in the early 2000s? I have an issue and think it sounds like other bands now."

I'm 28 years old. The girlfriend is the same age. We grew up in our early teens loving the same bands, Sum 41, blink, NFG, etc. Well, her younger sister is 21. There's definitely a generation gap there. She never listened to blink before. I shared Bored to Death on my Facebook when it was released.

Her sister fell in love with the band. Downloaded their entire discography and ordered a preorder package for California on KingsRoad's website. She loves the new record.

My point being, this is what it's all about. New generations of blink fans emerging. Whether it was Dude Ranch, Enema, or even California, it's cool to see new fans emerge. Love it so much.

Ah, okay Spotify updates the monthly listeners daily. They've now gained 291,962 in the last two days. That seems pretty impressive haha.

I mean to be fair if you count it, it used to be only two songs per album.

And on their past three releases (DED, Neighborhoods, Untitled), it's used on like one song total. The na na na's on California don't bother me, but people's revisionism of this band's history is a little odd.

So they have an unspoken two song limit now? Lol

No that wasn't what I was saying! I love the album and have absolutely no problem with the Na Nas. The problem I had is people acting like they were way more common than they actually were on previous albums.

No worries! I wasn't trying to be confrontational if that's how it came across. I was asking a rhetorical question to those fans. That's all. :)

There's a lot of good and a lot of bad on this album. I'm just hoping they play the right amount of new songs on this upcoming tour.

Considering I love all the songs on the album, I don't feel a limit is needed.

+1 for "this is a great running album"

Except Home. I always skip the slow songs when I run.

They sound a bit cheesy to me this time :(. Even if I'm not as crazy about this record like I wish I was, there are still some gems. I really hope it sells well (which looks like it will)!
