After listening to this album the past few days, I think I got over it pretty quick. It made me actually wanna go back and listen to the Self Titled album. Now listening to the two in comparison the ST I think was just some of their best work period.

 

I just pray he lays low. Let Mark, Matt and Travis have their moment in the spotlight. Give them the weekend to celebrate the release. Tom can go back to posting about his "Life's work" on Monday.

 

Yeah, California is much better than Neighborhoods and Dogs Eating Dogs, but I'd still take Untitled over every other Blink album.

 

Tom's already posted pre-orders for a new shirt, hat, and a picture disc vinyl (i think?) today.

 

I'd be ok if he actually was classy and complimented them or said congrats, but that's a fat chance and a cold day in hell lol

 

not sure if this was said already, but the amazon version of the vinyl is 180g. got mine today.

no way would i rank california over dude ranch but otherwise that feels right

 

Might be the new album hype but I seem to relate to the songs better. That's not to say there aren't better songs on dude ranch but overall, at this moment. Again may still be the new album high talking lol

All of their albums hold a special place in my heart so it's hard to pick favorites. I really do love them all for their own reasons.

 

How are you and your fiancee liking the album?

Love it. She hasn't really got to get a feel of it because of work, but she likes what she's heard. Love cynical, BTD, no future, sober, los Angeles, and funny thing is SOOHm is basically her and I in song form lol so love that one too. I actually don't dislike any song from the album, though TS and Kings are at the bottom ATM

 

No signed bass for me but I am SO FUCKING stoked on this signed vinyl AND drum head!!! Totally getting it all framed after the wife and I get a pic with them at the Chicago show in September.

 

That's what we're doing with the stickers and t shirt lol

 

Or because Spotify wasn't as popular in 2011 and there weren't as many users as there are now

 

My signed vinyl/drumhead didn't come today. :(

So what songs from Neighborhoods and Dogs Eating Dogs get put on the live setlist?

I'll say nothing from DED and Up All Night and After Midnight from Neighborhoods.

 

1) glad Skiba is in and tom is out.
2) blink album through and through.

3) wonder if we'll get a +44 return at some point. Mark gets what he has to do with blink, but I thought his song writing was better on WYHSB. Maybe because he didn't have all the expectations? I want that Mark to make another record though, sometime.

 

Just finished listening to the new album for the first time and I'm pretty impressed. Still would like to listen a few more times to get a good feel but my faves right now would have to been Cynical, No Future, and San Diego. I just need to say it though that even though this is good stuff, still isn't the same without Tom
