Disappearing World might be a top 10 albums of all time for me. Best Worst Case Scenario is also pretty good. I really love Aaron Sprinkle though, like anything he does.

 

I have Turnover up high and I only adored Peripheral Vision, but I have very high hopes for whatever the follow up is.

 

Peripheral Vision is pretty great though. Got that, Petal's "Shame", Citizen's newest album and an album by Adventures for free last year when Run for Cover did some promotion on their bandcamp.

edit: might actually have been this year. Can't remember. haha

 

Coheed was one that I left out since I only know their first three albums. I seriously love those three, but they don't quite fit into my list.

I still haven't heard the last Motion City Soundtrack, either. I make up for that one by knowing everything else.

I grew up with Green Day - tough not to love them for all they did for my tastes. They were my first "punk band" lol

 

I might just be kind of on the young side (20) and didn't really grow up with music due to a strict household.

 

That must be it. They used to be huuuuge. They're a super important band for a ton of people.

 

Apparently so did I. I was around for the Dookie, Nimrod era, and ever since I just feel like they've gone downhill. Warning wasn't half bad, but I couldn't stand American Idiot.

 

Yeah you did, haha. They had two massive waves where they were basically the biggest band in the world.

 

Wait, there was more than American Idiot that was huge?

Dookie too and that was 10 years earlier than AI.

 

Dookie, The Offspring's Smash, and Rancid's ... And Out Come The Wolves were all huge in 1994-1995 and were credited with bringing punk into the mainstream.

 

Didn't realize Dookie was big too. That's kind of interesting, can't think of any other bands that kind of peaked, and then peaked again ten years later. Even if the band's not my thing entirely, they've had a pretty cool career it seems.

 

I'm very glad I caught Green Day on the tail end of their American idiot popularity, I'm only 16 but theyre what I've listened to the most throughout my life.

 

The Offspring did it in a five year span, as 1994's Smash and 1999's Americana were both huge, while 1997s Ixnay on the Hombre was only moderately successful commercially (although critically better received than Americana).

 

Red Hot Chili Peppers had something similar happen to them as well.

 

At the moment it's either Pinegrove or From Indian Lakes, and all time top 3 is MCS, Billy Joel and Ben Folds Five.

 

The Postal Service is that band for me that I would consider an all time favorite but they only put out one album. It's probably a top 5 album for me though.

Yeah this was screwing with me too, until I decided to take it way too seriously and take all my favourite artists and rate their albums and EPs on a scale from 1-10, weighting the EPs so that they don't impact the overall score as much as a full-length would, and then just finding the average. Nothing but cold, hard, raw sexy numbers.
