I feel you on deplatforming Blink 182. I often wonder why I spend so much time thinking about such a deeply immature band from my youth. I'd love to listen to an episode of Encore about that. There's a lot to say!

I like the band, I like the memories, I'm proud of the songs we wrote, but there's a lot more wrong there than right. I spent 20 minutes today thinking about the (semi-incoherent) lyrics to Parking Lot before I was like wtf i should spend this time listening to Joni Mitchell instead.

I appreciate your perspective, and I'm thankful you've taken the time to reply thoughtfully. I imagine a lot more goes into the decision making about news than we laypersons realize, but as you say, you have editorial discretion, so I wonder if attention spent making fun of Neck Deep lyrics wouldn't be time better spent promoting forward thinking artists like French Vanilla or Feels or Girl Friday or heck, blink 182.0 ripped off a Joni Mitchell lyric. I don't think I've ever seen saint J mentioned here or in the AP.net days, and she is incredible. I would click gleefully over and over on a Joni Mitchell feature.

I hope the takeaway isn't that i've been negative or didactic. Chorus is very cool, you have a pretty thankless job that is probably super draining, so I hope not to add to that, but to promote growth. and either way I expect it will only grow in a positive direction. Just throwing in my 2 cents as a longtime observer. keep on keepin on

Holy shit! My department chair saw me post something about Blink 182 a few days ago, and today walked into my office with two tickets to the Inglewood show. 8 rows back of the stage. I guess her husband works for Livenation.

I'm seriously in shock. I just posted I wasn't that interested in the tour, yet here we are.

Thanks, Steve! Active duty army for 9 years... recruiting it up on Cape Cod now so I’m on a bit of a break from real Army for a bit. Family loves it up here.

Section 200, Row T - aisle seat closer to Mark’s side of the stage. I paid $200 but I’m just trying to get some of that back at this point. Open to offers and would rather have it go to a fan on here then a random on Saturday.

The drummer and rhythm guitarist that were apparently involved in the incident are still in the band.

 

If I remember correctly they weren't involved in directly involved in contacting the girl, were just bystanders of a call that Fil was with her on. (Though I think Dani said something dumb like "show us your tits", but he was 17 at the time, so it's less pedo-y)

I would have put money on a blink EOTS/Lil Wayne/Neck Deep tour being a hot ticket, but here we are!! (I payed too much too)

This makes up for all the money I saved on a super nice Ariana ticket earlier in the year haha
