New song is great, I'm stoked that she's stripping things back after Hiss Spun was so monolithic.
Ioanna opening is amazing too, can't wait for that show!

All my favorites hate touring Florida apparently. Can't wait for this record though

Interested to see how this will go down. I really like it on early listens but I wonder if the relative lack of dynamics will be counted against it a little.

Nearly half way through and digging it so far.

Surprised no one is talking about it, a load of people seemed pretty hyped about it on the albums other thread.

Really really liked this. I think I'll come out of this year listening to the Ioanna Gika album a lot more tho.

  17. Looks like the kind of album, like Chelsea's previous work, that I'll only be completely immersed in once fall weather fully kicks in

Erde is my favorite at the moment. Her voice is so beautiful

  19. This is splendid so far. Feels like the Halloween-y counterpart of Norman Fucking Rockwell in some weird way, and I look forward to spin both albums over and over again in the next few months.

  20. She was incredible tonight, so was Emma Ruth Rundle. It was a subdued night with both of them playing solo due to sickness in the touring camp and Chelsea beginning to lose her voice (you wouldn’t know it with the control she has), but that just made tonight feel even more special and intimate. No Hiss Spun songs, which was a bummer, but the amount of older songs, like “Survive”, “Pale On Pale”, “Flatlands” - which she dedicated to Mark Lanegan - balanced with a few Birth of Violence tracks was great. I so badly want to see her play We Hit a Wall live. Haven't gotten it either time I've seen her. :tear:
