Is there a good way to get HQ audio from a Youtube Video? Just realized this Police video for Invisible Sun is a unique version. Would love a HQ rip. Can anyone help?

 

Nice - worth it alone for the art. Did you make those yourself? Great job if so!

 

Best technique I've found is to use youtube-dl and ffmpeg (lots of instructions online if you Google them) as you can use one to rip video as is and other to extract audio without transcoding it.

 

Pretty sure

youtube-dl -x --audio-format mp3

does that for you.

 

Anyway you could help an old man out and rip it for me? I would really appreciate it.

 

I had a look to see what versions I could download and there is an audio only version which is 128k m4a but that is the highest bit rate there is which unfortunately is the normal situation for youtube videos. I'll send you a PM with link to it.
