They have flat out said they are breaking up. Assuming they are lying is stupid.

And they have literally acted like they don't like it for 7 years. They cancelled a tour in Europe due to "insurmountable" personal issues. Go look through the supporter forum for more information on that. I'm not assuming anything.

 

Tom Delonge should join Brand New.

 

My god it's draining seeing how negative people are towards their 'favourite' band. it's perfectly valid to be more than pissed off at the wait and the air about it and that, but I'll be damned if I see anybody not complaining on here. Chin up chaps/gals - it might never happen. I guess that's the problem though...

 

People seem to be incredibly entitled when it comes to Brand New. People shouldn't let what they do bother them too much. They will put out music and tour or they won't, think we should all just lighten up.

 

I mean this band has been my favorite band since me and my older bro went and picked up Your Favorite Weapon he week it came out. They mean a lot to me.

im not trying not to be negative. I loved seeing them last night and they out on a great show, and I'm going to miss them, just not the fan base and not the lengthy silences

 

I could easily see them dropping an album and never touring it, just like dropping it as their goodbye.

 

Yeah this wouldn't surprise me in the least. And I would also be ok with it.

That wasn't directly aimed at you by the way Fen - the general consensus around here seems to be 'cannot WAIT for them to just quit' kinda thing. I'd rather the irritating fans we all speak of leave the Earth and allow the band to make this album, and for me to be excited for it.

Any time I get hyped about something and want to talk about it I find myself having to dial it back in case somebody finds a mutual appreciation of their very same favourite band annoying or acts like they don't give a shit anymore. *shakes fist at sky*

tbh ive always been a Brand New apologist but this recent shit just makes me roll my eyes. be done with it, or don't be, just don't do this shit.

Why are you surprised? I met Jesse before a show and he was a really down to earth guy. He was just standing around and no one noticed him. A friend and I just walked over to say hey and he was more than happy to chat for a bit.

 

He's a nice guy and will chat with you and sign whatever you want. He just hates having his picture taken. Has mostly avoided it since ~2006

Was beginning to regret not buying a ticket but after seeing that the setlist is basically the same I feel better now.

Disappointing the 180 they've done in terms of picking songs. I feel like 5 years back and beyond, they were always switching things up and you never knew for sure what you were going to get, now it's very predictable.

Performance wise, still one of the best bands to see live. Too bad asshole in the crowd seem hellbent on hurting the people around them at their shows.

 

I need more people to tell me how over Brand New they are.

Brand new is awesome.. They can do whatever they want and m if I ever get it I'll be grateful.. If not that is okay too
