Mark just said he knew they couldn't make the announcement until June, but June 1st wasn't Friday, and they don't want to announce stuff on a weekend, so they're waiting till next week.

Also he confirmed the album will be 10-15 songs, and will have "fast punk rock songs, darker heavier stuff, ballady stuff and sounds like what blink should sound like in 2019"

    - no announcements until next week (probably friday)
    - new album this summer
    - Mark is going to try to get the stems for the Enema album to show us specific vocal takes and stuff (maybe today, but probably later)
    - "All The Small Things" was originally called "Babycakes Buttermuffin" and "What's My Age Again?" was called "Peter Pan Complex"
    - Jerry Finn didn't think "Man Overboard" was good enough to put on Enema, but then the song became a big hit when MTTS came out, and Mark said that's one of the very rare times when Jerry was wrong.
    - a lot of variety on the new album. heavy songs, fast punk rock songs, ballads, etc.
    - 10 to 15 songs will be on the new album
    - some of the other songs may end up on a deluxe version later on
    - not a lot of other info besides that

10-15 songs? Seems weird they don’t know

  11. They're in the mixing stage right now, so I assume they probably have like 20 songs or so picked as the final contenders, and they're waiting to hear the final mixes of them before they start fiddling around with the tracklist, and they'll decide on which ones will make the final record. Just my assumption though. It sounds like the album is going to end up coming out during the tour. Or maybe July 19th, when they have their GMA appearance.

12 songs would be perfect for the regular album and 38 songs would be perfect for the deluxe album, imo.

Just curious and not that it means anything at all or discrediting any fans, but how many of us were actual Blink fans in 1999 when Enema came out or even tuned onto Blink in 1999? If someone age 0-27 says yes 1999 changed my life, I find it hard to believe. Maybe the self titled did.

I was not alive yet when the album came out, (2001 baby, haha) and yeah, Enema individually didn't have as profound of an impact on me as other albums, but the duality of blink's discography as a whole made me feel more comfortable in my own skin.

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

I was almost 8 years old when Enema came out, but I heard it for the first time at age 10 in 2001 or 2002. At that time it really did shift my entire musical preference and opened the door to so many related bands.

This was definitely a gateway album for me back then.

I’m 25 and i was probably like 12 when i first discovered blink, so i was never ”aware” when any of their most famous records were released.

I remember reading their Wikipedia page back in like 2006, having no idea what ”indefinite hiatus” means in swedish. Had No idea if my new favorite band was active or not haha.

I absolutely became a blink fan in 1999, I was 15. WMAA was the first blink song I ever heard. They were literally all over MTV from 1999 to 2002 so I wouldn’t discredit anyone that says they became fans during that time, they were that big. That album did change my life. But I know what you’re saying.

I do roll my eyes at people that say there were fans when they were just called blink though.

I’m 33. My cousin took me to a blink show in 96 for my first concert when I had no idea who they were. Fell in love with the fast songs and dick jokes and never looked back.
