Notice that KO is already seeming like hes going on the back-burner like a month and a half after his turn. They just have too many people to cycle through and no long-term focus.

Plus AEW has the added advantage of running out a PAC match or something similar without signing those guys. And they can do what NXT does, cycle in guys as jobbers that arent ready to be featured yet.

 

Feels like long-term AEW is gonna have a Cody problem. Its great when you can trot out a plodding match because the story carries it like his match with Dustin...but that's not gonna fly with less involved stories. That match felt really out of place with a company that had the two high flying tag matches placed around it.

Cody is not at the same level as the top tier of AEW, but I think acting like he’s so bad that it’ll be a problem is more than a little extreme.

Yeah, I get that he has a boring style -- I won't even disagree with that -- but everyone speaks like he's the worst worker around. His character work is fantastic and he does a great job of telling a story in other ways beyond his work rate.

I got half an hour in and had to go have a break. I'm laughing too much at my desk. Just hearing his complete and utter exhaustion and disdain for working with vince is hilarious. Every time he mentioned popper scooper or surgical mask I start giggling.

Safe to say Moxley isn't ever going back to WWE.
