I don`t think I like this album more than neighborhoods.

Ghost on the dancefloor, after midnight, snake charmer, wishing well, kaleidoscope, MH, even if she falls are great tunes

 

I'd heard of Alkaline before but was not familiar with their work, at all. The past couple of weeks I've been streaming a lot of their stuff. Definitely a nice side effect of this arrangement.

Conversely, even though Trio has a smaller fan base comparatively, is it reasonable to think that some of their fans will also be buying California to support Skiba? Could offset the Tom Delonge fanboys who will likely boycott this release.

The thing is, if you dig into this album on headphones, you can hear these subtle guitar fills throughout, which I love. I just wish it wasn't so faint in the mix.

 

There are definitely plenty of Trio fans that will support everything any of those guys do. They're super supportive of Matt, even if they don't care for blink at all. Guarantee quite a few people are buying their first blink album.

 

I hope so too, I love alkaline. I remember when I had no idea who they were except that song Armageddon they had in Tony Hawk Underground(which I still love btw) someone from high school asked me to go to a concert of theirs. I was bored and I said sure, plus he needed a ride. We became best friends after that lol but I remember hearing them play Burn and We've had Enough and I was SOLD. Been an alkaline/skiba fan since.

 

They've been my favorite band for 16 years, and while I don't know what I would have done without them over that time, I can't help but be jealous of anyone who has so much Trio to go back and dive into haha.

 

Looks like I get my signed vinyl tomorrow. I am pleased.

 

Ughhhh I got the shipping update yesterday and it literally hasn't moved

That's a shame. Is it too brash for me to say that Blink 182 day should take precedent over Canada Day...

 

Tracking says I should be getting mine tomorrow

 

Ordered the purple vinyl and drumhead through kings road and no shipping confirmation yet, Just letting others know who haven't received any info either.

 

Like how am i supposed to enjoy Canada day without my California vinyl, blasphemy.

 

Still no shipping confirmation so I doubt I get mine on release day :(

 

Yea I don't think anyone who got the signed drumhead has gotten a shipping confirmation yet...we will be the last ones to get anything I'm sure...oh well stoked for that drumhead!!

 

I ordered the signed vinyl/signed drumhead and received a tracking number, but it hasn't left Los Angeles yet.

 

I'm not hearing the straightforward punk here. It's a really poppy album. And personally I think the hooks are fantastic, some of the best in their career.

 

I got my shipping confirmation last night. Purple vinyl.

 

They're some great hooks on this indeed, best in a while.

I'm frustrated lol. Kings road sent me an email at 3am on Monday saying its shipped. But the USPS tracking is still on June 21 pre shipping label created.

Someone isn't communicating properly lol
