This show is incredible. BBT’s performance is jaw droppingly good.

 

S3 was a such a weird one in a lot of ways. I'll have to do a second watch because I barely remember anything memorable about it.

 

Yeah I've rewatched the first two seasons countless times, but haven't felt a desire to rewatch the third season yet. It was entertaining while I watched it, but looking back it feels like less than the sum of its parts

 

Loooved s3 but it was much more of a slow burn because there weren’t quite as many moving parts as the first two. Thewlis and Winstead were unreal

 

I think S3 kind of sucks in comparison to 1 and 2 but if you can remove those seasons from your memory, it's still great.

For some reason I thought S4 was already filming, just saw it doesn't even start production until late 2019, super bummer.

I hope he's doing Legion before that, Pale Blue Dot should've finished filming in September

 

I just remember being mostly disappointed that Carrie Coon didn't have more to do, but maybe my expectations kept me from really appreciating the season as a whole. I'll have to do a rewatch soon

 

I agree. She was actually one of the weaker parts of the season, and it's not her fault because she's incredible. (the fact she got nominated for Fargo and not The Leftovers is absurd.)

 

For sure, I think her role got a little shafted. The other two seasons had pretty strong police storylines though so in the interest of switching things up, I kinda didn’t mind that there was a little less focus there

 

I did really like the recurring “no automatic doors/appliances” working for her. Making her feel strange, and possibly transparent.

 

Her character has the same issue with technology in the leftovers too

 

God fuck the Leftovers is just the best show lol

 

Neither of us have changed our Leftovers avatars for a reason

 

Just started season 3 and loving it.

 

Is it weird we haven't heard any updates about this in almost a year?

 

It isn’t. Hawley is finishing Legion first, and he said there would be a fourth season so I assume he isn't going to talk about that at all until after Legion is done.

 

not too worried about it, kinda figured they would take an extended hiatus after the last season.

 

I can't wait to see Chris Rock in this.

The Variety article linked a few pages back (from early 2018) said expect to air by end of 2019. To my knowledge, they haven’t even started filming yet.

 

The reason I randomly thought about this is because my phone gets random calls from all over the county 10x a day and today I got one from Fargo, haha.

 

Yeah that may have been the case a year ago, but it's definitely not the case anymore lol
