Soundgarden/The Mars Volta at the Festival Pier in 2011 on SG's reunion tour. I think tickets lasted about 10 minutes.

Refused at Double Door is the first one that comes to mind. Otherwise, I just don't follow that hustle anymore typically. I'll buy tickets in advance if there's a warning that the show is gonna sell out though.

  10. Fall Out Boy at the Metro on Black Friday 2013 is probably the fastest sellout that I’ve grabbed tickets to. I was definitely waiting on the ticket page Thursday’s Riot Fest aftershow and got that, but I can’t remember how fast that sold out. A couple TWY tours as well, but those sold out over the course of a day, not minutes.

For me, the biggest "get" as far as that goes was getting GA floor tickets to see Green Day at the Boston HOB back on that small club run before Revolution Radio came out.

More recently, and on a smaller scale, getting tickets to the Boston Avail show would have been super stressful had I not been at the box office waiting in line when they went on-sale.

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

Goldfinger / Big D and the Kids Table / The Planet Smashers on August 30 at House of Blues Chicago.

Not sure if it’s a full tour or not.

That feels like it would be an actual tour, given that it's a regular club show... And thinking about the number of people in Big D and the Kids Table. Haha.

FWIW, Big D is over in Europe from August 5th-14th, so I'm guessing that might be one of the first dates if it is a proper tour.

It probably won't hit up Boston, unfortunately, given that Big D has a show in June and they usually do a Halloween show... But hopefully Goldfinger finds their way out here soon!

  18. Such bullshit when Ticketmaster marks down prices for a show you already have tickets to. Got a Disrupt ticket for $39+fees, same section is $25 now.

Usually if the tour is selling that bad you can get a discounted upgrade to your section so if that'll make you feel less cheated out of your money I'd look into that

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

There’s a few for me, but the first one that comes to mind for me is Radiohead at the Santa Barbara Bowl spring 2017. A friend of mine and I both were on AXS at the exact same time to get tickets, and I was able to get them, but he wasn’t. It was weird.

Probably just a one-off date. One-offs, mini tours, and fests are really what GF does nowadays
