It's not really shocking to see Draymond polling higher, once Dwight left Orlando his career was a trainwreck and it's all still pretty raw. He was incredible during his peak though. Give it a few years and we'll look back more fondly on Dwight

Dwight spent like 4-5 years as one of the 5 best players in the NBA which is a staggeringly difficult thing to do. He also carried Orlando, may I repeat ORLANDO, to a finals appearance.
Draymond's the heart and soul or whatever of a team that also happens to have the most talent ever assembled. A great player no doubt but also unquestionably the beneficiary of being surrounded by all time talent. As an individual player he never has nor will reach the heights that Dwight did

I didn't even know this until right now, there are only 19 players all time with more First Team All NBA selections than Dwight Howard

dwight will be first ballot immediately in. it's absurd to think otherwise. one of the last truly dominant traditional bigs we've had.

Who knows how many of those people even remember he was in Orlando dominating lol. All most people remember is what’s going on now, and right now, Green is on a team about to go to their fifth straight Finals while Dwight missed the entire year on his 5th team in 5 years with a pulled ass muscle or some shit, so I’m not surprised people are voting Green in that seemingly random mixing of players in a pole.

The question had nothing to do with the hall of fame, they’ll both make it. It was also not who is a better player, it’s clearly Dwight even talking about his late career slip.

But when we’re talking great career that’s gotta give more weight to championships than individual awards. I don’t know about y’all but I’d rather be a top four guy with four championships than a number one option with zero. That’s a better career to me. And it’s not like he’s just on the bench and along for the ride, that team is so absurdly talented in large part because of Draymond, especially defensively. They don’t make the finals without him, and they’d probably have won four in a row if he didn’t get suspended for a game.

Draymond’s rep and KD’s addition is gonna hurt him more in this conversation than Dwight falling off.

  9. The question who was more fitting to go into the HOF though. And Dwight’s career as of right now was better.

Lol nvm I just read the first part

Dwight’s a better individual player, I’d rather have Draymond’s career still.

like...it's Dwight lol. It's not close. Draymond gets to enjoy all his jewelry but on his best day, he'll never match 2007-2012 Dwight on a random Tuesday after eating Taco Bell.

But isn’t that like saying Draymond has had a better career than guys like Karl Malone and Barkley also?

They could play Steph klay and their bench and still probably win

do you think Dwight is on the level of Barkley and Malone? I don't think rings are the be all end all Robert Horry is the GOAT, but they do have more weight than individual awards for sure.
