Lowry is not very good at basketball though. That kinda makes me think it's not worth it. Hahah. Watching him in the playoffs was painful.

 

I'm hoping Marc Gasol ends up being able to play. One last Spain USA matchup would be awesome. After that I'd say France (if they make it) or Australia would be the silver favorites. Croatia as well if they make it.

He definitely had a bad playoffs but he is more proven and a better defender than McCollum, although McCollum is a better shooter.

I also think Lowry should be effective playing off the ball, which is why I think he's well suited for a team like this where he's not one of the top options on offense. Lillard would struggle in that role.

Totally agree with you on DeRozan though, he's fine but he's definitely not one of the 12 best American basketball players.

 

Is he proven? Haha. He seems to be the worst in the biggest games. I don't think he's good at basketball. He makes so many bad decisions. Not a fan of his game at all. I literally think a d-league player would be a fine replacement.

 

Can't wait to watch Lowry shoot 31% in the gold medal game this summer!

 

The fact that Lowry being good enough for the Olympic team is even being debated speaks volumes about who they were able to convince to play.

 

I'm ready to put an age limit on it again.

 

I wouldn't mind it either.

 

Clutch mode Kemba would be more fun to watch than Lowry.

I usually like simple uniform designs, but these USA jersey's are so boring.

Were they trying to match Steph's new shoes and then it was too late when he pulled out of the Olympics?

The last ones in 2014 were so good.

I'm usually not one to complain about things like this, but I thought the whole "stealth bomber" design on those prior uniforms was gross and tacky. Although it undeniably looks good.

Top gear Olympic Carmelo is literally my favorite thing in all of basketball. I can't wait for this thing to start.

Although, personally, I think the whole thing should be cancelled. It's shaping up to be an absolute farce and major HHS hazard to everyone involved, and that's without saying a word about the political unrest. If I were in a position with the USOC to do so, I'd strongly recommend that no US athlete attend.

 

I don't see him going from a championship caliber team to the 76ers. Sure they had a great draft and it looks like they'll be pressing play on the rebuild now, but I would not consider them an attractive free agent option yet.

 

If it's to a 2-3 year deal, whatever, can't hurt. I don't think it's in his or the Sixers' best interest to sign a max deal.

 

Why wouldn't it be in his best interest to sign a max? I get why it isn't for Philly, but at this point if I'm Barnes and someone offers me max I take it and run.
