I always see people hating on Edwards for being a homer, but isn't that the case for pretty much every local announcer? They're employed by the team, so it makes sense. I've heard so many others on the same level as him.

He’s saying the sports fan culture is vastly different in Boston compared to LA. Personally I’ve never been to Boston but Kings fans seem to be pretty okay. Dodgers fans on the other hand...

He wasn't saying this about sports fans.. He was saying about being in Boston in general. He is a movie critic... not a sports writer.

 

Ehh in hockey I'd say he's comparable to the root sports guys and the avalanche guys but even then...he once compared a player to sirhan sirhan. He has gotten much better.

On the flip side, he's a huge nerd. Like, he built and maintains his own advanced stats database...coded it and everything. Not exactly consistent with the old time hockey persona he has as an announcer.

I do not feel scared to match up against the Blues at all. Which means they are 100% winning the cup.
