Is this that big a deal? The label obviously got over it lol. Is there supposed to be more to this or something? Seems pretty self-explanatory

When Matt pops in with that last harmony in "Sober" I get goosebumps.

Just about every highlight I have about this album is in regards to something Matt does. Another example for me - the last 50 seconds of Cynical.

Do or do not, there is no try.

    Possibly my favourite GC song.

  5. Just discovered this on YouTube this morning. Pretty cool!

Just thought maybe Jason was trying to sound cool saying that or its a fake sponsored post to look cool.

I know I know...I just don't see how a label p-bans a site then pays the site to advertise.

This isn't a criticism, but it's kind of cool to be able to play all of these songs on guitar on my first try, but my drummer friend isn't too happy right now. haha

I mean blink's whole career they've had to deal with interviews talking about how it's great how their songs are so easy to learn lol.

Well yea. I'm not saying it was complex by any means but, starting out on guitar years ago made some of the riffs a bit of a challenge at first. It was easy to just pick up a guitar and play Green Day songs. Blink was sort of a half step up in difficulty unless it was All The Small things or something. blink is tough to jam with friends because of the drumming though.

The more I listen to this album, the more I enjoy "Teenage Satellites." I like Mark's voice a lot on the song, particularly during the harmonies.

Yeah, I know, I keep harping on about the harmonies. I really love them on this record. Their voices pair up well together!

Not gonna deny Tom wrote some interesting riffs, I definitely prefer blink to Green Day but I'm frustratingly bad at guitar (Goodbye Forever by Alkaline Trio is literally the only song I've played all the way through lol) but I can sort of competently play the intros to Adam's Song, What's My Age Again, Dammit. Well I might have forgotten them by now. But blink has always struck me as easy to learn.

Drums are usually the thing that causes Youtube covers of blink to fall apart for sure haha.

Yea just had a harder time as a beginner with broken chords, arpeggios, etc. So, blink was a bit more difficult but forced me to practice it more.

Yeah I understand. I'm a beginner for life, just never had the musical gene. I definitely was never and will never be posting guitar covers on Youtube of my blink playing haha. For as simple as something like blink seems you sure see alot of bad attempts at it.

I just now read that that's Travis with the "ahhh" right before everything kicks in on Cynical haha - I love that they kept that. It def scared the fucking shit out of me the first time I listened to it on headphones late at night in bed while my wife was passed out.

    of course "Kokomo" ain't bad...

  23. There are so many songs on here that would be great to see live. I'd love for them to take 5 songs off of California and replace things like First Date, I Miss You, etc.

I'm surprised that they didn't change the intro for either SOOHM or No Future.. They sound so similar, even though I do enjoy both songs. A lot of these songs start of with just the same kind of guitar technique it sounds like. Like I said, though debatable, tom is just a more creative guitarist. Not saying his stuff his complex, but there are so many blink songs where I think "only Tom could come up with this".. Dumpweed is easy and fun, but original.

Tom and Travis tweeting each other again right now... what I keep wondering is why is it that he only seems to Travis? Also if Tom actually comes back what happens, does Matt leave or do they become a 4 piece band?
